    Jesus.

You should contact Toyota ASAP so they can rectify their towing and payload ratings. And here we are like a bunch of idiots, towing things and hauling things in our trucks.

People, hold the phones, we got someone that knows more about these trucks than the guys who built them....o_O

You do realize what your saying is that if you were to throw the kids in the bed to ride down the road to the park, that it would officially be "unsafe" to throw Spot in too b/c I go over what you think the truck can handle..??..??

I say we turn this thread into "what have you hauled in your Tacoma today and didn't kill everyone on the road around you".

    100-200lbs...seriously?

Which truck????? Ones lifted, the others 340k miles old...next.

This is a trailer that's 3700lbs. You posted a 5th wheel. Has nothing to do with what the OP was asking.

Looks photo shopped. ..where 5th wheel sits in the truck. ... it would smash the cab corner when turning

Like i mentioned i tow this 17ft 2500lb fiberglass camper with my 2004 v6/5 speed manual trans 4x4. Now i do have electric trailer brakes and my truck is equipped with the 231mm tundra brakes. I've been up & down the East coast and as far West as Texas with no issues. Obviously i take my time when climbing thru the mountains but it handles it well.

and tell the whole story since you want to challenge my advice, your the guy who wanted to save $20 by taking your old busted broken leaf springs apart to add them to the cheaper weaker oem replacements you buy to think you can create your own HD springs using old brittle leafs that have already broken once and put it together with unhardened hardware store retaining bolts and think that that wont come apart on you at some point under load

your not helping yourself so stop derailing the OPs thread with your nonsense

You sir are wrong again. But after this I request we take this to a private conversation rather than continuing the pissing match publicly. You're obviously knowledgeable on these trucks. You may have misunderstood me in the other thread. I just wanted to know If it could be done and if it would add additional carrying weight. Maybe even slight lift. Never said I'd really be loading it with much nor would I be using unhardened hardware store bolts. Also my leafs weren't broken, and it was $80. You just assumed a lot (officially has made an ass out of u and me). Bottom line I use my real work truck when needed, just to further prove my point. Truce?

(in case anyone wants to know what were talking about)
