Ya, I've had it less than 2 weeks and it's getting a new rear diff as well, so maybe that's why they are taking care of it.

I had the dealer do the repair in November, and they tried to return it to me with a massive dent in the hood....they ended up taking it right the F back and trying again. After 2 weeks and 4 attempts it still flutters, those idiots at the body shop still didn't even do every spot, there are several with zero adhesive. Since that time I have left it alone as they obviously were incompetent.

Seeing the post from Tacoma Jake shows that perhaps I should try it myself and add additional adhesive along the perimeter not just at the sparse contact points as the dealer " fix" didn't actually solve the problem

My dealer (which is an hour away) basically ignored me.

I called the service dept (they claimed they hadn't heard of this problem), they wanted me to make an appointment and drop off my truck so they could diagnose the problem. What is there to diagnose?? So, I actually went to the service dept and showed them the places where the adhesive was separated and took the service manager for a test drive showing him the hood vibrating, and I was promised an email from the service dept after they contacted Toyota to see how to proceed. Then I talked to to the sales guy who claimed he would follow up with me as well.

Several weeks passed and I didn't hear from them, so I did what Tacoma Jake did. Now my hood is fixed.

Looking at his fix, the other thing I might to is tape off the hood so any excess adhesive can be pulled off with the tape.

Mine has so much dealer adhesive that's bad I'm not sure I want to attempt it, or force them to do it again....they even said if they can't fix it, they'd get me a new hood, but I don't want them spraying my fenders to blend

I'm satisfied with my DIY fix (thanks to Tacoma Jake's post), and truthfully, I probably did a much better and cleaner job than the dealer would have done anyway.

well this is annoying. I bought the gun and the NVM adhesive, I was about to start applying and while pressing through to get the NVM to the tip, one side pushed through the back.

There's nothing I saw in the directions about changing the fittings on the plungers, albeit one side was much smaller than the other.

What gives? @Tacoma_Jake What did I do wrong?

Looking through the fittings there's no fitting to make both sides the same size, but I can put a collar on the small side that'll make it 1.5 / 1 on one side vs 1:1 on the other but I don't know what is "correct"

I don't want to ruin another tube.

Was just at my dealer in indianapolis, IN. They contacted toyota and head qtrs will either replace hood or send a new sealant. They sent me home and will call tomorrow with a repair plan. Dealer will provide a loan vehicle free of charge when they take the truck back from me. Will follow up on this board with the results.

The instructions might be; not this part.

    Storage and Handling
When stored at the recommended conditions in original, unopened containers, this
product has a shelf life of 12 months. Store at room temperature. Rotate stock on a
    “first-in-first-out” basis.
After use, leave mix nozzle in place to seal the cartridge.

I appreciate you trying to help but you're giving me responses that have nothing to do with my question.

I have NO questions about the tube of adhesive, My question is on the gun. one side of it has a much smaller plunger than the other side. the package comes with 2 adjustment collars for each side of the plunger. Which collars did @Tacoma_Jake use?

I got to see mine today at the dealership after they fixed it and it looks great. It's still there because the rear diff failed and is being replaced too.

I did not change any of the plungers on the gun itself, I used it as it came right out of the box.
