It sounds like it came from hell. It is so loud and everytime they replace the leaf springs, they keep failing. And corporate Toyota is throwing bricks at me

You'll probably lose 5K. Good luck with whatever vehicle you end up with.

If I fill your tranny properly and then you like your truck again, I'll only charge you $4,000.00... You will save at least $1,000.00.

Where do you live.... I'll drive down there and fix it, as you seem to not be able to get that tranny filled on your own..!!

I don't know if this means anything for u and your recent dislike of Toyota, but Toyota owns like 17% of FHI the company that builds Subaru. I think some US-spec Subarus come out of Toyota factories and vise versa.

I've heard they can be quiet comfortable except for the tendency to get into a wad ...

Sbpark in all fairness has been a pretty big defender of the 3rd gen from the haters out there. He's been dealing with his transmission issues for weeks if not months as I've followed his posts. I am having similar complaints with my truck and toyota dealer service giving us the run around. I don't blame him for being fed up with the way it drives. Every time I hop in my lady's 2016 T4R I am reminded how lame the truck feels in acceleration and transmission performance.

I'm not faulting him for whatever he chooses to do with his vehicle. This thread though just comes off (to me) as a lot of ranting and very little information.

Is he supposed to summarize all of his issues to ask a simple question? Seems like a lot of defensiveness here from folks for the man asking a simple question about trade value.

Much appreciated. And yes, I've stood up for this truck way more than I've been trashing it. I really liked it at first. I towed with it over mountain passes and it performed very well. It had a a responsive gas pedal in ECT mode, and aside from the transmission stuff that started later on, Iv'e experienced zero additional issues aside from my head unit resetting itself randomly, and has not done that again since. Just driving home on the freeway today i gave it some gas to speed up past someone and the damn thing nearly redlined to about 5700rpm but hardly felt like it went anywhere. My mpg has also dropped noticeable. I'm only getting 12-13mpg lately, where I was getting 16-17.5 around town (and that was with the shell and BFG KO2's). Something's not right.

I'm not saying this is the case but, is it at all possible that you're compensating for how you think the truck should be performing by hitting the gas harder than your normally would? Thus accounting for the drastic drop in mileage?
