    Pretty much covers the pinching of the cord in a drawer with a possibility of catching fire with continuous use.

    I know the LA county inspectors are tougher then Orange County inspectors so it says a lot if the the inspectors just wrote off on the inspections.

    Just talked to the guy who put them in cause this is starting to bug me. But he does them with a company called ricks electric and they've been doing them all over la county for over 10 years. All the inspector looks for is that the plug on the wall is a gfi and they use garbage disposal cords. So the Gfi prevents any "fire hazard" from a ripped or torn cord

    I hear you Corey, it's just a grey area in the code book, It's how some people define section 400.8. Like some inspectors won't let you strap EMT pipe at 10' and want you doing it at 6' yet the code books says you can.

    strictest county inspectors ive ever had to deal with are in OC...they will point out even the dumbest shit :facepalm:

    We are talking pre and final inspection here. Of course a plug in the back of a cabinet is fine.

    After all inspections have been passed you can do what you want with this plug.
    But if tring to go by code (havinga) lol my last name a plug in a drawer drawen on blue prints will not pass unlesss one of the docking drawer.
    I have passed installing recepticals to pass and then later install some "shady" drawer plug. Or after all was said and done and in the end the home owner didnt want to pay for a dacking drawer or 8.
