What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Trying to find that single DIN Carling switch plate. Wasn't there a TW vendor making those?

What the hell are lower heims? I have googled and googled all night. Probably just too dumb I guess.

 

The nicer aftermarket coilovers (ADS, etc) have a stainless heimed joint where they connect to the shock mount on the lower control arm. Most shocks, including the OEM ones, have a foam rubber bushing or similar.

That is an Artic Truck. They do a lot of work to make those fit. Including moving the front axle forward a few inches.

If I were you I would check the reservoir again. I had the same problem, I cleaned out the reservoir, reinstalled it and fluid ran out again. I took it off again and found large flakes of what looked like rust inside the reservoir. The flakes were coming from a build up of something stuck on the sides of the reservoir, they were falling over the screen in the bottom of the reservoir and blocking the hole.

 

Those are the spacers which center the heim joint. The heim is basically a ball joint where the bolt passes strait thru.

 

Of that's the one they had some sort of TV special on from what I remember it was pretty much stock suspension with spacers. It didn't make it.

Give down south motor sports a call , they'll get you what you need.

 

Is 3.0 the spring rate for king? Or the shaft size?

 

Sounds like the diameter of the cylinder body (3")

 

the shaft size as my old nissan titan i had 2.5s on it and the inner diameter of the shaft was way huge compared to stock..
