There's a lot of folks that seem to have "issues" with their new truck and after turning 3k miles in just over 6 weeks of ownership, my truck has settled in nicely and is running great. I have had zero issues with buzziness/vibration, squeaking from the dash panels, the transmission has broken in and shifting is smooth and controlled. MPG is just shy of target with an avg of 20-21 hwy and 18.5-19 around town. Coming from a problematic expedition that got 12mpg, I'm happy with that. I've even adjusted to the seating position and find the firmness of the seat foam provides good support to my lower back.

My mods so far are TRD wheels and Toyo tires, Husky x-act floor liners, tinted windows and the Toyota bed mat. Mods in-house but yet to get installed include the pop&lock tailgate lock, rokblokz flaps and at some point I'll receive the OEM Audio system I ordered. I also have Clazzio seat covers and a heated seat kit to install, but I haven't had the time to install any of these things yet. I did put in one of the backseat clazzio covers and it looks fantastic.

Anyway, for the potential buyers out there, I think the truck is a homerun. I'm very pleased with mine and expect to get years of service.

Mine is a double-cab trd sport 4x4, auto, with tow package. I don't have the tech packages.

I have had mine for 3 weeks now and I have put on about 550 miles so far. I also have zero issues and really enjoy this truck. No squeaks, rattles or anything people are complaining about. The automatic transmission shifts smooth with no problems and I am very happy with the MPG I am getting. I am leaving behind a 2014 Ford MusTang GT with the track package with a 6 Speed MT that I have traded in. I have had a MT for years, and so glade I switched to this automatic transmission. The seats to me are very comfortable and I like how they feel.
I have not done any mods to it yet but do plan on doing a 2" lift and changing the Tires to a better AT since I live in NYC. I lalso ike the rims and will keep them OEM.

Mine is a double-cab Short Bed, TRD Off Road 4x4, auto, with tow, and exterior package.
I don't have the tech packages only because I did not want to have sun roof.12813946_1573009163026495_1434505526194349187_n.jpg

Same here. Love the truck, and transmission is smooth as glass.

I haven't checked anything yet, I will check them when I put it on a rack to change my oil at 2,500 miles like I always do.

Only issue I have is a center console rattle that I cant find!

Those potholes in NYC are getting really aggressive I see.

Lucky to have access to a lift though.

Glad you guys are posting some positive reviews on the truck. I get mine in a couple of weeks and reading all the negatives has me a little worried. I have a friend that loves his new 2016 and also one of the Toyota mechanics at the local dealership where I live bought one. I took that as a positive sign. :)

Take a read at the "what have you done thread" up top. Probably the most participated thread here with the most varied users and no one complains about the truck. Just happy owners. If you read the vibration thread, you'll notice it's the same handful of people complaining over and over. I randomly clicked on one username and the guys participation level on this forum was only that thread and had about 60 posts in it!

Give it time. I was initially getting 19.5mpg around town and got 25mpg not he freeway once. Transmission was great, truck was responsive and had a respectable amount of pickup. Now it's a dog, shifts rough and having transmission issues and I'm getting 12-13mpg all the time and the dealerships tell me it's normal and the truck is fine and Toyota Customer Service tells me that they stand behind what their dealers tell them and they can't override there decisions. My issues started around 4,000 miles I believe.

Do you need to know, or care?
Yes I've had a couple of issues with my truck, low tranny fluid and fenders pulling away from the body, BUT I absolutely love this truck and have no worries about the quality or value of the Tacoma. Had a Gen2 and thought that was the best vehicle I had ever owned, feel the same about my Gen3. Don't be concerned about anything, I guarantee you will be all smiles driving off that lot and will be happy with it for many years to come.

You'll definitely be doing the Taco dance....:bananadance:....and lurking at it out the window of your house!

My daily 20 mile highway commute trip average has climbed slowly from 18mpg, to 20.5 last week to 22.5 today. I've had the truck 6 weeks now and it has just over 2k miles on it.

Truck shifts fine but I almost never use the cruise control, ECT mode or really push it past 70 -75 mph. Still letting the adaptive transmission learn my driving style before I start changing it for other needs.

Very happy with it so far.

I have not experienced the issues that others have had, so there has been no reason to go to the dealer and ask them to chk something for which I haven't had any symptoms. Maybe at the 5k service I'll ask them to chk the u joints, etc.
