I already signed up to Volunteer for this. I'm hoping to be a flag man or give VIP tours in the pit's or something

 

Keep me posted on what they assign you to....good to "know" someone on the inside.

Yeah their website has changed a lot. I signed up months ago when it was 1st announced and back then there was a whole bunch of things you could volunteer for and those were the 2 that stood out for me the most.

 

I never would have thought to look into something like that. Good thinking

Just cause I am curious - did you have to pay to volunteer?

I used to volunteer for the Deutsche Bank in Norton, but then they started getting stupid about it and you had to pay $90 to help out - granted you get a stupid shirt and hat. Almost cheaper to buy tickets and enjoy the day! Last year my brother and I paid at a discount (he worked for a local golf course), got the entry documents, then just changed shirts and had a hell of a day....can't stand having to pay to give away my time.

 

RIGHT! YEAH!!


And I popped an aspirin and drank a big glass of water this morning for the headache, picked up an extra large coffee at the gas station for the lack of sleep, and a thing of Gatorade for the dehydration.

 

It's a little F'ed up and I think it's because the event is not totally in stone yet. When I 1st did it there was no fee then awhile later I got an email saying it was $12.50 and no other updates since then other than emails to pre-purchase tickets. Even now when I go back and look at that other email and I follow the link it sends me to the new page and say's nothing about any fee. To me if it's $12.50 for a whole weekend being real up close and/or somewhat in the action that's a real bargain

Got my GTA Bluetooth Kit finally. Going to install my VooDoo Fab tailgate cover, Pop n' Lock and that radio addon today... finally starting down the path to broke-ness

 

Do the Relentless cover instead, the whole thing is one piece all the way over the top so it's stronger. I got the aluminum one and so glad I did

Thanks! Looks like it's an entire pc that cover the cap and then goes under the plastic tailgate cover, correct? So basically it's doing the job of the KB VooDoo product and that MobTown product that they make (tailgate reinforcement plate), correct?
