Well I'm done working for the day. Think I'll go fishing for a couple hours before I pack to go camping. Matter of fact I'm going with expectation of site fishing stud bows and some Browns to emergers..for those fishy guys in here.

LOL I'm heading out of work here in about an hr... but no fishing... I gotta start working on getting my RTT swapped to the new bases. Then tomorrow, I'll be wire wheeling the rack, Painting it, and mounting the RTT.

Just received some AP Hi-lift mounts. Now I can't decide if should I paint them black or just clear over to keep the burnt metal look?

    clear over them!!

i like that design with the hole in the bolt, is that so you can put a small lock through to keep the knob from spinning?

I think that's definitely the way I'm leaning. Yeah, evidently they added the holes for locks a while back but never prmoted that change. I've got a cover but it isnt always on so I'm pretty happy it has the holes!

It's a double edged sword. It's an awesome view to look at while I work, but it makes me want to be outside and not behind a desk.

he's not quenching a knife!! these are hi lift mounts. depending on the steel id worry that you could ruin them instead of making them look cool

EDIT: plus how does he heat up the entire thing evenly with a torch? impossible as it will cool to quickly unless he has a oven that can get to roughly 1400 deg :D
