Yeah def going gunmetal with whatever I chose. I am hoping I don't need to commit for a while though. Hoping I can find a tire shop okay with mounting a 315/75r16 on a 7" wide wheel.

    Also got my wheelers order:

    7563D6B1-62A9-4FF5-8CB7-47D835656273_9967e63e3c0cbe8727bac7b306cdc33056e85c26.jpg

Had to test out the CO2 mount right away just cause I can't wait to use this setup when the truck is back. Also dropping off the brake line to Toyota on lunch. Hopefully I'll be able to see my truck for a little and hug it. :(

    Semi update:

Did some prepping and painting. I always find I gravitate to the wire wheel for most of my prep but mine is on it's way out and likes shooting metal shrapnel everywhere.

Also painted my rear bumper. Had so many scrapes.

Also started prepping the crossmember by removing the old rails Ant welded in:

Also had to swing by the dealership to swap loaners. This things got only 65 miles on it so far.

JUST GOT WORD J0HNNY 5 IS ALMOST ALIVE

    Did some more prep work:

    6F21F51B-9139-4317-9ED9-0DCAF405C96D_8c5e0622ebe2524f481cc779b15e8099d34c3e82.jpg

Now I'll be able to pull in the garage without pulling the antenna.

Also had some bike issues on the way to work last week.

Was in the left lane doing 75-80 when I hear a loud chunk and lose all power to the rear wheel. I can see the bike is still on but I'm coasting now. WTF. Look back and see this dragging behind me.

    05DB6D7D-AE72-444D-8B56-C9F585461C5D_2fc94ebc088f9289e5cec0999b3cb003be26623d.jpg

Frantically waved at people to get over to the right lanes and was able to coast into a small scenic view rest area.

Got it off the road and back in the garage and dug into it.

Bitch wound up real good. So good that I had to cut pieces of the chain and sprocket to get the sprocket to slide off even after I pulled the main bolt.

Found some more shit. When it balled up it took the plastic cover with it. The cover was mounted to the side fo the case and the mount ripped out, exposing the transmission.

    Dang that sucks!

Glad to hear your truck is getting close! How do you like that 90* elbow bend thing? It's the one from Amazon right, I've been looking at it but haven't pulled the trigger. (obviously you don't have it on the truck)

One project will start back up as another goes dormant :p

Stopped by the dealership yesterday to take photos of the truck in process. They said they were almost done and they started that morning.

They told me I should really change my front diff fluid out every wheeling trip... this is why :anonymous:

Also since I have greasable shackles with bushings on they would need to press out the old bushings. I told them it's fine and I'll take care of it so they slapped the old springs back on and gave me the new ones. Now I can use this fresh set for the bastard pack OMD mod.

You should take that "Heavy Part" sticker and slap it on a more visible part of your truck!

Frame so shiny. Time to start getting protection back on.

Got the beefed up version of the T-case skid on:

Got the aux reverse lights wired back up with the new disconnects. Now I can take the bumper off no problem with these disconnects in place.
