Gone to dealer twice. Paid dealer to check fluid level and dealer said it was full. Dealer lied. Zerks were bone dry too.

So have you had a the fluid checked or filled with certainty or done it yourself?

I paid a trained tech 3rd party to check both Diffs and the Trans, they were both low

I don't understand how the hell Toyota gets away with this shit. I'll be making my 3rd trip tomorrow to get it checked. I'm gonna watch it be done this time and I'm also gonna bring the PDF of how I want it checked. I'm leaning towards when the warranty is up be gone with it also, which I don't wanna do but definitely don't think it'll last much longer after warranty if it even makes it.

For anybody that has done the battery disconnect to relearn, did it erase all the data saved in your entune unit after being disconnected for a while?

Checked my trans fluid today and it was good so I disconnected the battery for 30mins, I will report back to see if that helps.

With just under 2000 miles the trans still hunts and there is a delay when shifting from D to R when cold.

All I lost was the clock time and my trip-odometer mileage....seemed to help, for about a day and a half.

Easy Fix ! Underfilled after a simple pan drain and saw only 1 Qt come out, I added a 10 oz bottle of Lubeguard Platinum ATF additive and 4 oz of DR Trannyanti shutter, added 2 qts and 22oz of WS ATF Fully Synthetic AMSOIL to the remainder from a earlier Flush of all AMSOIL ATF WS , Dealer underfilled tranny by 2.2 Qts when Tranny Flush Performed! Runs better than new with Proper amount ATF Fluid in , AMSOIL Signature Series WS Fluid complete with a LUBEGARD Platinum Additive for Tranny and DRTRanny by Lubegard to supplement 14 oz of the remainder needed ! When doing a Pan Drain and Refill, must add 3.2 QTS to Tranny at warm temp for proper level ,no dipstick , just drain from pan and refill at rear side plug ! Use Amsoil Signature Series in Tranny WS Compatable ! Blue cap ! Check Amsoil website !

I am going on about a week now after disconnecting the battery and everything is still working great. Shifting is good, no hunting for gears, and I am getting better gas mileage now (about 1-2 mpg). Hopefully it continues. I am debating if I want to tell the dealer to clear the TCU when I go in for my 10K service soon. Since the truck is running great I don't want to mess it up.

Well just got home from Knoxville Toyota. Truck ran great on the way out there this morning after disconnecting the battery earlier this week and a few days worth of so-so driving to work and back. I decided to ask Knox Toyota to check fluid level after Fox Toyota basically wouldn't.

It was low so they said they added 750 mL...

Truck drove like crap on the way home though...I have the battery disconnected now hoping to re-learn with the correct fluid level this time...

    Is this for a 2016 or a 2013?

The WS plug is your fill plug that stands for world standard which is the transmission fluid you have.
