Has anyone here used the Recurve EZQ from *********?
I'm just looking for some feedback. I had considered using the Audio Control LC7, but have read where several users have had issues with a low volume hiss.
I'm pulling my hair out over this.
Here is my issue. I have a set of component door speakers a single sub and Two amps from a previous vehicle that I want to put in my regular cab Taco. I have installed multiple amp systems a couple of times without issue, but I want to retain the factory HU in the Taco. I want to do this for a couple of reasons. First is I don't want to be a target for thieves. Second I want to keep the factory overhead Bluetooth Microphone.
From what I've read is that it won't work with aftermarket HU's.
I've had this aftermarket system for a couple of years and have put off installing it because of the aforementioned issues. Well now my factory door speakers have developed a rattle and it's driving me nuts.
Apparently the Recurve EZQ is a lot easier to install being it's mostly plug and play. Also I can retain the factory wiring.
All I want now is to hear from someone who has used the Recurve successfully.
Thanks in advance for any reply.

Got it. Works great. It had some engine noise until I grounded it better. Easy to install.

Are you talking about with the Recurve installed? Did you have amplified door speakers as well? Do you have more volume now after switching to an aftermarket HU with everything else the same?

Is it loud like a normal aftermarket system would be?

Heck yeah. Thanks a ton for the vid. People like you are what makes this forum so good. I was just about to reluctantly order a Pioneer HU too. I'm going to pull the trigger on the Recurve now.
Do you think you could take a pic of the Recurve up close so I can see how you have your gains and freq's set? I know my setup will differ, but that will give me a starting point. Also what's your amp's gains set at?

No problem. Small dots are tunes to a tw5, long dashes to the sa-8's. Never changed my fronts and rears. I will post tomorrow.

I just did a complete install with the recurve and a 5 channel amp. I get a hiss when the music is quiet or when talking on the Bluetooth. When the radio is turned completely off, I hear the alternator whine in the speakers. Any advice on how to clean it up?
