I want a black cluster but they were only made on the older 2nd Gens

 

Those are cool! And spendy just like anything else. How do you get the dash apart without destroying it

Yes it's a wrap that was my first time doing it. Actually came out decent but did it as a test run. Gonna be doing the other side.

 

You just take the dash apart, first the radio comes out and the silver upper center dash, then after that comes off, under the steering wheel the grey plastic comes off and then you can dismantle the dash to the left of the steering wheel. There's some phillip head screws that you need to unscrew around the gauge cluster and then unplug it and pull it out from there.


Just wondering if others have done it and if so how does it look...

Sounds ez enough. Those gauges are something to think about.

Is there a write up or tutorial thread on how to do this? I'm wanting to take the dash apart but don't know the steps.

 

The next time I do it I'll put it on my build and post it here too... doesn't take long but I'll be sure and remember to photograph the dismantling of the dash
