    are these shocks adjustable while they are on the truck or do they have to be taken off and placed into a spring compressor?? just curious.

    You can adjust them while they are on the truck but when you set them up initially you put them where you would like them, then you fine tune them after they are installed.

    how do you tune them after install? doesnt the c-clip adjustment give it whatever lift you want and in order to adjust that you have to take them off?

    You have to take it off and compress the spring in order to move the clip

    I think he's talking about a set of billys w/ the stock spring, not aftermarket coilovers that u adjust w/ a spanner wrench

    thats what confused me, thanks for clarifying. i took a quick pic of my 5100's real quick if i had to post but ya with the collars its adjustable with them being on the truck, if your using springs that dont allow for that then you have to remove and compress to lift

    ya thats what i figured. I dont really need them to be super adjustable. Im trying to get info cause i need.. want.. to re-lift my truck. one idea is to use the camburg 4" spindles with the bilsteins with stock springs set at 0.85". give me the same look as the rcd 4.5" lift but with out the drop bracket and cheaper. just need some info on what to level the rear with. will 2" aal and the 5100 shocks out back work?

    before anyone asks yes i have a prerunner no 4x4

    haha no no way im doing the camburg spindles and 5100's up front with the eibach 1.6" springs and im looking into something close to 3" to level then ill have to go with the 5125's longer length shocks

    that refreshing that someones done some hw before asking!

    ya well you guys are definitely the guys to talk to about this stuff. i really appreciate all the input. this is most likely the setup im gonna go with. just out of curiousity..how do you plan on getting 3" in the rear? havent been able to find anything yet. post some pics when you get it done. hopefully have all the parts end of the month/begininng of the year

    allpro has a 3" leaf setup and ome has a 2.75" (i think it is) leaf pack, im leaning towards the ome pack moreso then i gotta get a hold of downsouth and talk to them about which 5125 length i should get

    i think the next az mod day is jan 3rd which is when ill be putting this stuff on, with the help of fellow tw members :thumbsup:

    i got moto metal 951's 16x8 4.5bs with 265/75/16 mud terrain.

    im waiting till i burn through those and probably gonna go with a 255/85/16 or 295/75/16 then changing the gears to 4.56 and adding a locker at that time. that wont be for another 4-5 months probably

    i kinda wish i went with the wider tire but glad i didnt otherwise id be more willing to go wider with the tires but with only having a 4 banger and adding those wide tires im gonna go nowhere quick which is why i like the 255/85/16 alternative. got any pics of your truck? post em

    08pretaco are you still planning on using the eibach 1.6" coils? Not sure if im gonna use those or if ill get a stock coil. Im planning on just doing the front for right now until i get the parts for the rear and I dont want it sitting at roughly 5.5" with a 1.5" aal in the rear. think thats too bro'd out even for me.
