Be interesting if you could write up a mod thread on how you went about improving the radio/cd system, which I think the OEM system sucks but I don't want to break the bank to improve it.

I did the ol' LED interior light swap. Huge difference.

 

They make 275/70 in load range C?! Thought they only had range C in 265/70...

What did I do to my Tacoma today. Cursed at it. Rainy here today. Not torrential but the usual. Radio shut down suddenly at 2100 miles. Have had no prior issue. Thought the clouds shut out sirius. Power was off. Restarted changed to local fm. Did it 3 more times. Put cd in. Did it 2 more times. Only real complaint so far has been the sluggish big 4 cylinder 3.5 liter (has plastic covers that look like a v6 surrounding the actual 4 cylinder engine). Tuners anyone ? Anyway was hoping someone else has seen radio issue.

 

Plasti dipped part of the grill. Thinking of doing the outside chrome as well and leaving the inner bar chrome. When i pulled off the tape it didnt come out clean and starting pulling some of the plasti off so i gotta redo the whole thing.

I'm the same way. I hated the Mazda forums when I owned my mazdaspeed3.

 

I didn't touch the deck. I ran one wire in and out of each door. One to get the signal to the signal processor and one in to get the signal to the speakers from the amp. I wanted to cut at little as possible. I will do a full write up once I'm all done. I posted some pics in this thread already though.

 

I feel ya on the radio thing. Mine isn't that bad but it'll restart a couple times when I first startup the truck. But it's completely random when it happens. Hoping to catch it with my phone for proof.

 

Added to my 5k service list. Got radio issue, tranny acts low on fluid and get a nice grease streak on the inside of driver window every time I go up with it since mile 3. Not to mention greasing the u-joints and checking the rear u-bolt torques.

 

Hooked the trailer up to her today. Finally arriving to the show in style!
