Tacoma i just bought was a one owner, i have the original title & lien release. The owner recently passed at age 56 and his mom told me that he bought this off of the showroom floor.

You guys don't want this truck! Rust issue with the frame and almost half a million miles. I'm digging thru the stack of receipts & paperwork that came with it to see if the motor has been replaced because it runs great, no noises, smoking.... The CEL isnt on either.

 

That's the kind of truck you do a SAS to since it needs frame replacement you just do everything while body is off the frame

 

I still want it.

Yea it would be good for that. I found out yesterday that i got that job at the GM Alison plant that i told you about during your lift install. But what sucks is they have me starting this Monday morning. Not sure what i'm gonna do, i've been at my current job for 23 years. I don't wanna leave without giving my boss 2 weeks notice.

Is there no way they can wait ? I don't get companies today they get pissed at people for not giving them 2 weeks but expect new people to start the next day and not give the same courtesy to their employers

 

Don't know. I'm gonna miss having a fully equipped 3 bay shop that i can use after hours, free vehicle storage and use of the Transporter tag. That tag came in handy today for driving that taco home. Plus i get a discount on parts thru my shop.

 

Well you may still a discount from the non gm parts suppliers they use

I immediatly drove up the plant yesterday and left my name and # with security. A member of human resources did call me and i tried to explain my situation but he said if i'm not there this Monday at 6am for orientation i will not have a job. Apparantly GM only hires what they call "Temp to hire" employees. So i would be considered a full time temp until a permanant position becomes available. I'm a lil scared of that.

 

More importantly i'm gonna miss all the killer deals on vehicles that i come across working there, lol!
