Norcal Spotted and BS Thread

I would consider getting fitted. My 6'-4" buddy had back issues and getting the right geometry really helped. Sometimes taller dudes are out or proportion and adjusting the seat height/ position/ angle, stem length/ height really make a difference. I've been meaning to get fitted for years. Everyone I know who has said riding is way more enjoyable. I'm 6'-2" with a 6'-6" wingspan. Full knuckle dragger. Long rides kill my lower back because I'm not dialed- in.

Robinson Wheel Works in San Leandro is supposed to be awesome at this.

 

Yeah that looks hella comfy! I couldn't ride more then 60-75 min without stopping to stretch the lower back. Unless I had the tank bag on and could lean forward on it. You'd be able to ride that for hours

 

I had a 2007 yamaha Warrior for a while, it was comfy as hell, but they discontinued in 2009. I've been eyeballing the Raider for a while now, was about $500 away from buying one when I bought the ZX10R, but the dealership I was at wouldn't come down any more and I just wasn't in love with the color. In retrospect I should have just bought the damn thing and powdercoated all the chrome lol

 

I'm 6'8" and have a 29er XL frame which is 22". Mines not a high end bike but a nice middle of the road one. Does its job and handled my fall well.

I also made room for the 35s today. Cut more of my body mount and the corner off my pinch weld at the bottom. I can finally U turn and park without rubbing. I also trimmed up my rear fender on the bumper cover. Opened it up for more room.

I bought mine in 06 and had it 9yrs. Only road it on weekends.

Agreed I suggested the 29er because of his size, but I love my 27.5 it's a great compromise, I am 5'11" 160lb.

Not bad for being over weight and out of shape. That's pulling 2 kids and all the groceries in the trailer +/- 125 lbs. Now I'm ready for a cold one!

 

I am riding a Scott 29er from a 26" enduro. I love the way it rolls but does feel clunky in the tight, twisty stuff. I think my next bike will be a 27.5. I also want to go to a 160mm suspension from my 100 because I am getting old!
