that doesn't make any sense, as you first have to be in 4hi before you can shift into 4lo. Sounds like you are not actually in 4lo and likely the detent ball type switches on the transfer case may be culprit.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
How do you know it isn't shifting? In 4Hi the only difference is all 4 tires spin, gear ratios are the same. You'll feel the difference in 4L in the brake pedal as that fucker will yank you when you put it in gear. Pull up to a tall curb and try to get the front end up it with the switch on 4Hi. Did you get up it?

I don't understand your issue. So is the front driveshaft spinning or not in 4hi? The easiest thing to do is to Jack the truck up and see what actuator is working

let me try to explain the truck will go into 4 lo but not hi .have had the front actuator and the transfer case motor replaced still no 4 hi. no lights noise when changing to 4 hi. but when going to 4 lo light blinks until it engages . when shifting out of 4lo and back to 4 hi the light stays solid but the truck is still in 4 lo when i go back to 2 hi the light stays solid until it shifts back to 2 hi

Possibly the 4wd selector switch on the dash is faulty. If the 4wd light on the dash does not flash or come on when switched to 4Hi, I'd be checking there first.

I told you that days ago from post above. The actuator is easily replaced without opening up the transfer case.

I've seen threads here about fixing the actuator motor. Apparently some contacts quit making contact and it's an easy fix if that's the problem.

now i am confused can the actuator motor be replaced with out tearing down the transfer case thats not the problem the shit motor was replaced on the transfer case and now its out of time the dealer wants 3500 to tear the transfer case apart and re time the motor i can get a used transfer case with the motor on for 350-600.00

generally the actuator motor is replaceable without tearing down the t-case, because they tend to fail. Should be as simple as accessing the mounting bolts and swapping the part out, provided the teeth/gears are lined up right (plug the new one in and work the switch to check for positioning BEFORE install) do not pay 3500 to let the dealer replace a maybe 300 dollar part(could even be cheaper at local auto parts store/ salvage yard)

Yes it can be replace without opening the case. There is no need to set a timing on these motors they are a constant speed 12vdc motor with limit switches
