Gotcha. May be worthy of a separate thread as so many of us are forced to buy through these distys. I asked for a list, but my dealer was just able to look through the inbound vehicles and look for option codes that he didn't know about. It would be cool if there was a comprehensive list with pics and prices.

that's going to be a hard list to compile since only GST/SET has the numbers (invoice/msrp) since they make those numbers up themselves internally. and options for GST don't carry over for SET and vice versa. even pricing is not the same for the same options.

most of them are crap like paint sealant and $79 iPhone cables anyways. i'd like to see the rear seat USB one though.

When I got mine there were no deals to be found on the Limited's because there were so few available, they would have delt on the OR's they had, but I wanted a Limited.

Can you tell me what you purchased and how the install went for the cruise control and the keyless entry. I bought keyless entry for 2016 but I'm just not sure where to tap to everything under the kick plate. Also need to do cruise control, but not sure what part I need to get. Thanks.

    Hi there,

I have a 4x4 DC Offroad (automatic) in red, with Tech and JBL, Tonneau cover, tow and a few other misc items (floor mats, d-rings, exhaust tip and mud guards) on order at a local San Diego dealer. The MSRP is $39,459.00 including destination but not taxes etc. My experience going around local dealers is that you should expect no more than about 2 percent off this cost (...if you're lucky). Has anyone else bought a similar configuration in SoCal, and if so for how much?

Thus, far, i've just put down the minimum refundable deposit.

    Thanks

You shouldn't put down a deposit until a price has been agreed upon. You give up all of your negotiating power.

I keep reading all these posts about these good deals people are getting on their Tacos, but they never list the dealer or sales person they are dealing with. I am in the market and would love to purchase/ order a truck from someone friendly to the forums. Not sure what it is about Toyotas, but purchasing my Diesel Super Duty there are some great fleet managers to work with from the Diesel Forums. Surely there are some Fleet managers or sales managers that are friendly to this forum. Please contact me if you are one of them. If you got a good deal can you list the dealer and contact person? Thanks

Yes and no. I found a truck with the specs I wanted in Las Vegas. I live in Yosemite. 6+ hours drive away. It was the only truck between Seattle and Jacksonville that existed with my specs.

I put a credit card hold on the truck until I got there the next day. Upon arrival, I worked a deal. Albeit a small one because of limited availability. But a deal nonetheless. Including a trade (technically) worth more than the Taco.

If you're happy that's good for you. I would have worked a deal out with a dealer and had them bring in the truck that you wanted. If you pigeon hole yourself into one particular truck you become a captive buyer.

Has anyone had luck with True Car? I have been given a pretty good price for a Taco that would be quite difficult to beat on my own. I've been quoted just over $36k for a 2016 4x4 TRD OR with P&T package w/ JBL, predator steps, mud guards.

I tried truecar but none of the dealers listed would honor the pricing due to high demand in California. Is this offer confirmed by the dealer? If so that's a good deal.

Is it an ac or a dc?

Oh yeah sorry. DC short bed. My local dealer gave me a guaranteed match from true car. But i have yet to actually meet them in person.

Better than the quoted price? I'd might actually consider that
