Has anyone here been able to get Pandora to work successfully without the accessory mode blocking the screen? I've been trying to find a solution for weeks now. 5c9ebd46df4137108265019a3169287d_62eeb171464fb9de4e9cdc1b8478d50e508c53b2.jpg

I heard someone say there's something with the jail break that can do that.

Simply downloading an application on your pc, connecting the iPad, running the tool. It will install an app called Cydia which is basically an app store for tweaks and mods that typically can't be done on a stock ipad for example. So many things you can change and customize that benefit an in dash install. If you Google your ipad model and what IOS verison you are running you'll be able to find the download. For my Mini 4 I used Pangu Jailbreak. It's very easy and IMO harmless to your ipad and can be undone. You're essentially gaining root access to your tablet.

I've done it before on my iPod touch once upon a time but never on the iPad. I heard the newest ios you couldn't jail break and when I did it I couldn't use iCloud still

I've tried a few different tweaks for Pandora with Cydia but one of them isn't compatible with my mini 4's 9.0.2 firmware :( I'm having a hard time finding specific info for it online.

That's correct 9.0.2< you can jailbreak still, it is what came out of the box on my mini 4 which I bought new a couple months ago for my truck. If I would have done the update it wanted me to install it would put me at 9.2 which has not been jailbroken yet. There is some very minor updates between the two so I opted for the jailbreak and when 9.2 is broken I can update. I think those are the correct firmware numbers off hand.

I'll have to keep an eye out then. I like all my devices being synced right now so my iPad gets all the downloads I get on my phone so I really don't want to loose iCloud. Ill have to do some research on all that

This happens to me. It causes the radio to drop the iPad connection and stop playing my music. I have to take the iPad out and allow the radio to vent. I haven't developed a solution yet. My best thought at the moment is to expose the radio compartment to the air vents exiting to the cabin on the sides. Turing the fan on should evacuate the hot air.

Still producing these? Have to save some pennies as I've done a lot recently, but this definitely looks like a mod I would thoroughly enjoy!

After seeing one of these in person last week I deeply regret not buying one new when I had a chance. With that said, if any of you are interested in selling your kit please contact me as I'm game.

We're there different dad inserts for the 2005-2011 and 2012-2015 year models? I have an offer for one that went in a 2012 but don't know if it would fit my 2011, insight from those in the know greatly appreciated.

I would also like to know this. Even more specifically, can the iPad be used to connect to the built in rear camera I have and what happens with the entune screen above my steering wheel?

If that little screen is tied to the main deck, the iPad system I'm envisioning gets a little harder to envision.

Thanks to anyone who may know.
