Thanks! 275/70R17 K02s with the TRD Pro wheels...I know it's a really common setup on here but I really like how they look

No rubbing at all on the stock suspension? Considering this size next after my 265/70s need to be changed out.

No rubbing yet that I can tell just driving around town...I can imagine I'd run into some rubbing if I tried to off-road it right now though...so more than likely gonna get the bilstein 5100s up front set at .85 like many on here run

Does the P265/70-17 work without any issues, even with the mud flaps? Using TRD 17 x 7 Wheels. No lift. Thx! John

Yes, I am running these with no lift, with the air dam on a sport, same rims. Also, the diameter on the KO2 265/75/17 is actually larger than the 275/70/17, though the 275s are not designed to go on a 7" rim.

The numbers in tire sizes have meaning.
The first is the width in mm (in this case 265 or 275) the second is the sidewall height as a percentage of the width (75 or 70 percent here).

    So, on a 17" rim:
    275 x .70 = 192.5mm of sidewall height. This x2 = 385mm (15.15") +17" = 32.15" diameter tire

    265 x .75 = 198.75mm of sidewall height. This x2 = 398.5mm (15.65")+17" = 32.65" diameter tire

So the 265/75/17 has 1/2 inch more diameter than a 275/70/17.

    Because math...

And if you look at the KO2 spec sheet
The 275/70/17 minimum rim width is 7.5", below this the tread may crown and wear the center unevenly.

I should say that I was surprised by this when I read the spec sheet and only confirmed it in my mind by running the numbers, it seems counterintuitive but it's true. As far as the safety/wear issues putting a 275mm tire on a 7" rim I have no professional expertise but just know what the spec sheet and my tire shop tell me.

Ah, I did initially say 265/75
you are right, and now I think back I was comparing the 265/70/17 to the 275/65/17, same principle but slightly different numbers from my errant post above.

The rim specs 7.5 min apply for the 275/65/17 as well, ugh, that's what get for shooting my mouth off.

Tomorrow is the day. I'm officially having 275/70R17 BFG KO2's mounted on TRD SEMA black rims. I had to work some magic to get the rims, can't get them (or pretty much anything) in Canada, so I took advantage of some downtime at work in St. Louis last week. A big thank you to Lou Fusz Toyota for helping me out, they were amazing. There is another dealer in the area that was atrocious to deal with, I hope they read this, they'll remember who am.

So if I am to understand correctly, the TRD SEMA rims have a slightly larger offset than the factory rims and this is what allows you to run the 275/70R17's without contacting the UCA's. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

I'm aware that I will probably experience some rub on the front end, and this can be corrected by installing a levelling kit. Here's where things get confusing. Toytec sells a 3/4" levelling kit that gives approx. 1" of lift and leaves just the right amount of rake on the vehicle. So how and why could someone like rough country sell a 2.5" levelling kit for the front end? I don't want the truck to look like a boat trying to plane! Is this levelling kit to be used in conjunction with blocks in the rear end or an extra leaf? It isn't sold as a package, so help me out!

I'll report back on the install tomorrow with some pics. Anyone that's done this already, would love some feedback on your results and what you did if anything to eliminate rub on the front end.
