Even with all the Shop Tools one could want after a few years of liquid brine it makes it interesting !!

Depending on the install price I could be tempted !!

I am waiting for a bridge failure

Anyone have their frame replaced by Thompson in Doylestown? I'm 2 months in on my wait and they gave me a list of additional items to replace. How's their honesty and quality of work?

Shocks, struts, parking brake cables, and maybe brakes, rotors, calipers.
They say no labor on the shocks but labor charge on everything else.

I would guess they give that list to almost everyone and just use the excuse that it is continent for them to do it now. If they're the original struts and shocks and you have 120k on them then it may be worth it. If you think the brakes and shocks are fine don't let them tell you that you need it.

parking brake cables only need replaced if they snap, and even then the parking brake isn't a necessity.

What were your brakes at last inspection? It's an inspection point and most shops will let you know if the brakes are worn enough that they won't last the whole year.

Plenty of great products so far !
Bullshit I say on extra labor! Dealer gets 40 hours of labor for a 1-2 day job! Dealerships with techs who do this even in 2-3 days are doing great with the labor savings! If your willing to pay for the new parts, they do the disassembly, reassembly anyway! Fight for no labor charges! The dealer I buy from will put any new parts in as long as they are ones being removed and reassembled. Good Luck!

Granted it was on the Jeep side of the place, but a very good friend of mine got her jeep there, had issues left and right with them, including finding a razor blade in the seat they had left behind. It's a shame. I was looking at leaving Team and going to Thompson, only other dealer around is the one down in Bensalem.

Yeah bull shit on the parking brake since you should get new cables. If it is the actual drum itself I can see a labor charge, same with in the calipers but should be minimal at best. I know you didn't have that good of an experience at Team Liz but they were great for me. Always had a loaner truck, except for one week before the truck was done and got a loaner 4runner. Got to talk to the techs on several occasions, and go in the back and see the work being done. They installed my new CV's I had waiting for them and tried to install my spacer for the coilover too but didn't have enough threads so I can't fault them for that.

Thompson used to have a good service dept, then something happened with the service manager that made it worth going there. Heard it was the organizations decision. Bad call on their part. They used to have great techs from what I've seen . Don't know what it's like now.

My guy begins with a K and has been easy to deal with so far.
They want to bang me $265 for each rear parking brake! Ouch!

I effed up over the winter and backed my truck up against my garden hose and destroyed my driver's side fender.... of course I've never hit an inanimate object on any used car I've owned, but the first time I ever buy new :mad::mad: http://i.imgur.com/GZANwHx.jpg Link to pic.

At any rate, insurance company quoted me ~$1,500 to replace, repaint. Anyone got any thoughts on the McNeil 2" fenders and should i just replace both with those since I've found myself in this situation instead of going with an OEM replacement? Anyone know if insurance company will allow me to do that? They've already quoted the damage and issued a check... at this point, I assume I can fix it any way I want and out-of-pocket the difference?

    Wholly crap!
    That's one tuff garden hose.

I backed into a well casing and it did less damage than that.

A guy I work with was at a toyota dealer this weekend and they had a silver 2nd gen with a nfab bumper and winch and fiberglass fenders. Was interesting looking.
