    Question.....

So im installing my new BAMF sliders and there is a small black plastic box that is keeping me from installing them. It is about 5"x4" and it is on the outside of the frame directly under the passenger side door. I went look under my neighbors tacoma (2013 DCSB TSS) and he doesn't have it. Im starting to believe that it is something off road specific. Those who have offloads.... do you have this box and do you know what it is? The tag on the cable going into it is part # 82165-04071. HELP!!

I have the box and it's for the off roads. I'm not sure what it is but since I had mine welded on I just moved mine around it.

Apparently it is an accessory cable of some kind, quite extensive through the truck, and expensive. $190-$220 to replace. Came with the Limited Package, Sport and TRD Pro. (Pink Wire in the diagram) Looks like wiring for the AC outlet in the bed, best guess anyway based on the diagram. 35's for the win, but definitely decide on tire size before gears

Even if you stick with a 33" tire i'd go 4.56 since you'll be towing a overland trailer, give you a bit more power than 4.10

You do. If you go to 35's on them for a bit it's not bad I promise. I'm not saying to stay with it long though cause I am switching my 3rd with @EddyRRT front rear when I buy his cause he's going to SAS his rig.

I'm running 33s, and I easily tow my trailer.

You won't have problems until you are fully loaded and on bigger (or wider, more rolling residence) tires. Depends what you really want to do with the truck though.. More overlanding type or more crawling?

more over landing and I'm in no hurry to get anywhere. Just as long as mechanically I'm sound then I'm happy.

Would you be open to 17" wheels or stick with your 16"? If you ran 17" wheels you could go 285/75/17 (34" with 285 width) which would get you clearance but not have the width of a 315.. Or a 295/75/16 would do good too. If you are doing more overlanding then I think a 315 is overkill unless you don't mind the mpg loss and want the looks

Yea i really don't see myself going to 315s unfortunately. i love the look but for why i do i can't really justify it. Now if i lived in colorado and wasn't traveling as much as i do then i would prob go to 315s. One day my truck will become a toy and ill get a daily driver. Then Ill go to 35s with long travel and all that shit. But until then ill stick to the 33-34's with stock gears and roll with it! Do they make like a 285/80r16? haha
