I have 2 2016 Tacoma's one is base model SR access cab 4cyl no back seat. Second tank getting 17.2mph. Has aluminum utility cap on it.
Second one is a 2016 TRD off-road with 4000miles on it and it's getting 18.5mph. Both mosty highway driving 90% flat with very mild hills. The SR doesn't seam to ever go into 6th gear on flat road. My 2011 Tacoma got 18mph. They told me this new SR would get better because of the new tranz. Bunch of bs.

Nothing fancy, yet. Weathertech mats front/back + their mud guards, some reflective striping and custom carpets on the storage bin lids underneath the jump seats.
Is that with or without the ECT power button activated?

I had a 2016 SR 4 cyl for 2500 miles before totaling it. No caps. Long bed. I averaged 20mpg. I have the V6 now (almost to 2500mi again) and get better mileage. I thought it was strange but it makes sense in a way because i had to push harder on the gas of the 4cyl to get it up to speed and kept it at a higher rpm.... At least thats how i rationalize it in my head LOL

2200 miles, getting better - 30 hwy / 4 city miles on the commute. The shifts have gotten smoother and fewer RPM spikes.

Installed a LED light bar yesterday, had the battery disconnected. Is it possible I'm getting better MPG because the transmission "learns" and could have reset? Prior to yesterday I was getting at best 17 and change. Drive this morning after a fill up and I got 20. Have 1600 miles.

Still in break-in period. Only a couple hundred miles on it. Getting 14.5 combined so far base on computer. Got the shuttering issue in gear shifting especially in cold, so not sure if that has an impact.

    Hitting 300 miles on odo

I also realize that this is computer calculated and the number can be off. These are the numbers I have seen on the dash when I am finished with trip. I will post tank mpg at first fill up for over all mpg by the old fashion method pre-computer. So far really liking the engine and transmission gearing.

Edit- tank mpg over all was 21.6

My 4cyl auto Tacoma base model work truck getting 16.5 average mpg. My 6cyl auto off road 4x4 is getting 19 mostly highway driving. Every thing here is an hour away about 65 mph average.

23.6mpg on my last 365 mile tank. It would be nice to get out on the open road to see that go up a bit.
