On the way back over the mountains I had some time and checked out salmon la sac.. Going to be a while before any Gallagher runs

A lot of it seems to be snow piled up from plowing the road but still a foot or so back in the trees

Sure did. Thing runs tits. Went all over the lake and only burned about 3 gallons of gas. There were a bunch of other bass boats out there so I watched to see what they were throwing. Looked like most guys where pitching jigs so I rigged one up and some other lures on my other poles. Didn't catch a damn thing. Just a good buzz and a sunburn. Was a good weekend and a great way to transition jobs.

 

Coachman or royal coachman chrome or brass spinners on slow retrieve with lots of weight to sink em. When it's sunny, they go deep so u gotta go bright and deep and slow, or find a structure in deeper water.

Yeah we trolled for a few hours in various places. I think that was our problem, not getting deep enough. That and not having a depth finder. I don't have downriggers so I need to pick up a "deep 6" or something like that to get down more than 8 or 10ft. I tried everything I had that usually works on the smaller lakes, but no dice. I know banks lake gets really deep and guys where out there catching walleye, but said they had to go to the bottom to get them.

It actually looks like I'll have tomorrow off too, so I'll probably get started on that honeydoo list I've been putting off. And most likely go fishing later in the day at Lake Alice here in fall city.
