    I read a story in Car and Driver Magazine a few years back about a guy who was some sort of "champion" hyper-miler".....I adopted a few of his techniques to every day driving. My wife, who drives pretty careful, can drive the Tacoma and get 16mpg. I get in it and get 20+. I DO have a lot of old women passing me while they're flipping me off though.....:humble:

    The majority of hypermiler tricks I use have to do with coasting and eliminating hard braking.

    lol, same here. Living in LA there's no practical reason to have 4wd unless you use it recreationally...but there are plenty of places out here to do just that!

    I love having the excuse to take it off road. Killing me not having armor right now though. I had a fully armored Tacoma and this thing feels fragile.

    Just got Relentless Sliders welded on though. Feeling a little better.

    Thanks. It was the last thing I was going to do on my Tacoma. I think it should be the first thing people do armoring up. You can replace the bumpers if they drag, the rocker panel is an expensive fix.
