Hi, i have a strange problem while turning left of right the steering become hard and soft all the time. I have a doubt about the power steering pump ou the rack and pinion but i'm not sure with one to change first. I any of you know how a test or procedure determinate the origin of the problem?

    Is it full of fluid?

    Miles?

Tom is likely correct, but other details help with internet diagnosis.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
There is a u-joint at the box where the steering column connects. Spray the living shit out of it with a penetrating oil then spray the shit out of it with lithium grease. Been there, done that.
