Another lessened learned by me is to not push too hard. I tried too hard to get the pointed ends into the brackets perfectly and ended up pushing too hard and broke one of the ends. Replacing this bulb alone was half the cost of the full package.

As another member stated, use some split loom tubing.

I picked up some 1/4" split loom from Pep Boys when I did my install. Might not be necessary, but I did it anyway. I covered the harness from beneath the tailgate all the way up to the firewall in the engine bay. I ran it alongside the OEM wire loom and zip tied it to the plastic brackets the OEM loom was taped to. The part where the loom was covered with the heat shield, I zip tied the P&L harness behind it and ran it above the frame to avoid it being exposed to heat.

Howdy and welcome to the forum. Are you laying the first deck down on the second deck before trying to release the second deck?

Yes was talking about these map/dome bulbs. After taking the cover off I just cant seem to get the tiny bulbs out. Nothing to grab and pull except the tiny glass bulb. I didn't want to break the bulb and have to take the whole assembly apart. Thanks for the help!

    Pretty stock for now
All you have to do is grab that entire plastic housing and pull it down, it will just pop out then you can replace the bulbs from the top instead of the bottom.

That's the trip mpg, left work, drove to customer. It actually hit 25 but went back down to 24.5

I used tweezers to get it out, put a piece of paper towel to increase grip, came out easily.

I'd suggest Truxedo Truxport. I love it.

My 5000 mile maintenance reminder popped up the other day and since then I've noticed some issues with my screen. The radio is still playing, but the screen will be black. If I turn the volume up then the volume bar will slide down from the top like normal. I have to tap home before anything else will show up. I've also had half of the home screen go black but the other half still show up.

This is definitely the way to go with the map lights. Super easy, the whole console pulls out easily for access to the bulbs, pops right back in.

ugh, that sucks. I was afraid of cracking the dome light cover. Which by the way, has a spider crack in it. Very hard to see but i have a very bright flashlight which illuminated the problem. I tried to take a picture but it doesn't show very well. I'm hoping that is covered in my Toyota Care stuff.

I guess there is no better time for that to happen than right before a trip to the dealership. I would just leave it alone so that way they can actually see the problem rather than it turning out to be one of those issues where you know it happens but the mechanics can't reproduce it "mysteriously".

I have no idea how any of you are doing these insane MPG numbers. I drive 4.1 miles to work every day, ginger throttle, no passing and only 3 stoplights/signs. The best I can get is 16.8!! What the french toast!?
