I'll second that. I had one on my Tundra, loved it. I wish I waited for that one to be released for the Tacoma. Instead I jumped the gun and got a trifold and I'm not happy with it. It does the trick but I lose 1/3 of the bed if I'm moving something. Unless I remove it completely.

You can also use some tape. Wrap it around the bulb and it pulls off easily. Here's a video that shows how. http://youtu.be/bAKB3nNELzE

Yeah, I went with the Access Tonnosport in January not realizing that the side rails connect on the inside of the truck rails which lead to a lot of water leaks. I was not happy with the setup at all so decided to get the Truxedo Truxport since it finally came out for the '16 just recently. I had the Truxport on my '14 Tacoma and loved it!

Sat in it, for 5 minutes at the dealership.

After months of waiting, it finally came in, I brought my old truck, w/ clear title and a $28,000 cashier's check from Chase. Apparently that wasn't good enough to leave with my truck.

Chase wrote my VIN and description of the vehicle on the back of the check which thoroughly confused the comptroller and finance manager at the dealer. They are insisting I wait 10 days for the cashier's check to clear before letting me leave with my truck. Best part is - they told me this after I'd signed the title over for my old truck and transferred insurance. I'm sure you can guess what happened next - no I was not able to leave with my old truck, as it is "theirs" now. Not able to leave with my new truck as they don't trust that a FUCKING CASHIER'S CHECK from the LARGEST BANK IN THE COUNTRY would clear.

So what did I do to my 3rd gen today? Looked longingly at my BOSS 2.0 kit, KO2's, TRD SEMA wheels, Extang 2.0, weathertech mats, LEDs, blend mount, cargo divider, front bed rail, dash cam and all the other stuff sitting in my apartment waiting to go on the truck.

Half tempted to call the police to report it stolen and tell them I know exactly where it is - fucking Herb Chambers Toyota Boston.

Sorry for the confusion. I didn't know you meant the map lights. I got them hot and then stuck a square of gorilla tape on them. let it cool and pulled. Removing the whole thing sounds much easier.

    I figured it out.

Step 1: drive to a gas station at the top of a big hill.
    Step 2: Fill 'er up.
Step 3: Shift into neutral and coast down the hill.
    Step 4: Snap photo.
Step 5: Get 18 MPG back up the hill.

Yep. Opened the first one and folded it back. When I tried to do the second one it wouldn't release.

I wonder if that little valance on the other models that isn't on the Off Road really makes that much of a difference?! If so it's time to fab up one that can be easily removed.

    This guy....Nailed it.

My drive to work is about the same(4.6 miles) and I get around the same mileage as you. I believe it is bc of it being a fairly short commute...takes over half the distance to fully warm up

This is probably the case. The beneficial news. My drive is so short, I get nearly 2 weeks out of a tank. Unless the weekend is busy and entails lots of driving.

If you do take it to the dealer. Let me know how it goes. I wanted the stock tonneau at first and was trying to weasel the dealership into selling it to me in replacement parts. It seemed to be working but then the parts manager said that they can't buy them in parts. Sounds like BS because that would make repairs impossible. especially in MVA's.

    Pretty stock for now
It would make sense the dealership wouldn't carry the factory tonneau covers since the truck bed is special made from the factory for that tonneau cover. You can't just take that cover and put it on a Tacoma that didn't come with the cover from the factory.

Because you drive 4.1miles, it's barely warmed up by the time you arrive

Are you guys using ECT? I am because I'm at 8000 feet and don't like the shifty uppy downy thing so much. Wish I could just keep it on like my old '99.

Live in warm climate and have about 30 mile commute to work. Easy on throttle and use ethanol free 89 octane. Pics are pretty average for what I get and am really happy with it.

I bought the valence from someone (I have 4x4 OR DCSB) and have noticed a 2-3 mpg increase. I know a lot of people have said they noticed no difference, but that's my experience fwiw.
