Alright, I just installed the BDS 6" coilover kit on my 2015 four door... pain in the ass but seems like a solid product. I'm running 35 and with the height the coilers are giving me i'll never turn the wheel again. I've trimmed the fenders, cab mounts, everything... there is nothing I could possibly trim more. Still not clearing. I'm thinking the coilers aren't valved right... when I jack it up and take all of the weight off of the suspension and set it back down, I have 10 inches between the top of the tire and the fenders.... if I rock the struck, get in it.. push down on it... anything... the front end will lower to about 7 inches between the tire and the fender and stay there.. it doesn't come back at all.... the dudes at BDS are telling that is normal.. and that where its sitting is the correct ride height. if anyone is running this set up, please take a measurement from the center of your wheel, up too the fender flare, let me know what you have... BDS is telling me that it should be around 26 inches.... there is no way... it has to be more.

i have a 6" zone offroad suspenstion kit on my 2015 four door. and i can cut the wheel all the way left and right and not rub (if im not moving on a flat surface of course) i did some minor trimming in the fender wells. i dont see how its normal for your suspension to be settling 3"....that makes no sense

I don't know anything about your specific lift, but a stock 4x4 has about 20", hub to fender, so with a 6" lift, it should be about 26". That part of what they told you makes sense.

Dude your gonna end up with a shit of people pointing this stuff out so I guess I will start it off...

    1. A 6" lift kit does not clear 35's, nothing clears 35's with a shit ton of cutting and hammering.

    2. Shock valving has absolutely nothing to do with your ride height. Your coil springs hold your truck up, the shock just dampens the bumps in the road.

    3. It is completely normal for it to settle a ton right after you drop it down off of the jack very common to have to drive it around the block and mob some speed bumps to settle it after having been up on a jack for a bit.

    4. Think about what you are saying in regard to your measurements...a stock truck with stock tires only has a few inches to the fender flare...you may have a 6" lift but you added tires 4" taller than stock into the mix. Take a look at the 6" lift thread for a bunch of photo references of other 6" trucks with 35's.

    5. All the 6" kits tend to advertise that they " clear 35's " but it's a bunch of shit. That being said if you have done a 6" lift, a cab mount chop
And beat your pinch weld flat you should be fine unless your on a trail.

I finally got it. Had to run the collar down 1/4 inch, that with some cutting and trimming, it worked out fine. Thanks for the input.

    97 Tacoma Extended Cab. 3.4L
Original Tacoma: 6" lift, air bags in the rear, 17x9.5 XD Series rims w/ 35" Cooper STT Pro tires. Body Armor rear bumper with swing arm tire mount, TRD Exhaust, URD True Cold Air intake, TRD Front Brakes, RIGID INDUSTRIES grill and LED bar installed in it, LED Rear Lights, TracRack rack system, tool box. Sold the truck. Bought 2016 ram 2500 Laramie diesel. (7/2016) Picked up 97 Tacoma 4x4 Extended Cab 3.4L. Building motor now. (8/2017)

Still looks like it'll rub. Mine rub pretty good while driving into driveway and turning. Just turning, I don't rub, but as soon as I hit a bump while turning, it rubs pretty good.

    Nice looking truck btw!
