Ran Into a little snag with my skidplates. Turns out I dont have the second skid mounting points because they were cut out when the PO installed the drop bracket. Seems like my only option is to weld some plates back to those spots, drill and tap holes to mount the skids. Anyone have any easier suggestions? I got no pics right now..

I just got told it was gonna be 50$ to check the nitrogen in my Kings. All you have to do is unscrew the cap and put the gauge on right? Like a tire? The shocks aren't even on the truck.

Will they do nitrogen though? Do you have to have a special gauger thing.

While that sounds like a PITA the good thing is that you can make it ten times stronger than stock was.

does anyone know if you happen to get 33*10.5*15 tires if you have to do pinch mod or a cab mod at all? just a future reference question is all...

Yeah, the bike shops around here are pretty cool about using special tooling to help out our local offroad guys too. They should be able to charge shocks no prob @JKO1998 if they say they have the nitrogen.

Sounds like you encountered a suspension shop that likes "bread and butter" work, shit that makes a lot of money because it "seems" complicated. Like charging shocks or installing lift kits, charging a lot for literally just turning a wrench, no fab work or design. 4WP is a great example of a place that pulls this kind of garbage.

Definitely want to do that, I don't think just a tapped plate, unless it's quarter inch would be strong enough if something grabbed the edge of the skid. Hardware is usually heat treated or hardened to a certain degree whereas threads carved in regular plate steel may not be.

Some light trimming and some love taps with the sledge hammer should be all that you need.
I still rub a bit at full lock and stuff but nothing major

Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
For $90ish you can get the gauge from King and do it yourself.

Thats what I was thinking too its going to be a while before I have time to do this so the skids will be sitting for a while. Gotta upgrade my welder game soon. All I got is my gramps old stick welder. Thinking about getting a miller 211.

I'm having the same issue with my Kings. You need the spherical bearing. I'm still doing my research on the part number but this one looks like it might be it. Googl search: spherical bearing fkb-wssx10t.
    Good luck.

Thanks! Good to know before hand.
At least you have a better filter than mine lol I'm still running that crummy K&N oil air filter and heard that dirt gets past that filter and into the engine.

I don't think I need these. I think my shocks are ready to go just wanna double check the pressure. Might end up running out to the city and having it done there.

The original factory battery gave up the ghost in my '04 this morning. Figures I have to do a parking lot battery swap in the middle of a friggin snowstorm in april...
