I've had my taco for a little over 2 weeks. i have 3 kids that will fit in the back..2 are in boosters and 1 is in a front facing car seat. the 2 in boosters are having a hell of a time getting the seatbelts buckled. I'm having a hell of a time getting them buckled. the buckles themselves have no support holding them up to where you can just push the seatbelt into them. they just fall back down into the hole under the seats. am i missing a part or do i have something set up wrong? i'm half contemplating unbolting the buckle piece and running it through a small piece of pvc pipe to give it some rigidity. anyone else having this issue?

I don't have any kids, but the seat belt issue is a problem for adults too. You aren't missing a part. If you do the seat belt mod, post it. It sounds brilliant.

i have some white pvc in the garage that i may try out after work today. if it works, i'll buy some black pvc. my thoughts are that the pvc would still be loose enough to move around, so it wouldn't hinder the actual performance of the seatbelt. another idea i had was a small piece of pool-noodle.

In the old days it was a stiff piece of plastic that was formed to fit the shape of the belt. What about a rigid metal frame with black heat shrink tubing? Just brainstorming a little.

Or you could have a seatbelt extension and just hook it up to the buckles. Maybe it'll be harder to fall into the holes.

Well it turns out that the 2 on the driver's side are looped together, so there is no way to put something over the webbed part. I tried putting a small diameter piece of PVC inside but that didn't work. I ultimately found a short piece of pool noodle and cut it down middle, then zip tied it. It works great. 345284efa40456a8f5f09e3700619551_ae80015fdb5d85dcdac1ae3b8d95090892968609.jpge8b5f669fead5f1cca294b9565eacd7a_3a4f13fa17fa7ee0ed68cf2c40577cc25a060caf.jpg985166243d9c2f3a233632d835083212_15e27724fd19f7137251a9e8f5e006410d2490a4.jpgc0d5df2f79a1703289ef9ec4a100c538_63adeedc1ac23ad5c34674e839e6797f93fb90cc.jpgb049bf27e2b81c4923010d9e574823c7_23311a258ae5d5001ef353b3ecf4e943d1745bab.jpg6870634b25e5916b9970e1fe9eb6138f_74bbe8700c7340b54463debdc1d1d5deffa87c77.jpg9bf004f211b65ca2de65b39329005298_94e1ed33d3e5b0dbd0b17bef896ac6700073dab3.jpg

I just thought, do 2nd gen seatbelts do the same thing? Or are they rigid enough to stay up. Could possibly just replace these with 2nd gen.
