I'd guess at least a few hours on the frame rack just to start, likely totaled.

    Glad you're OK OP.

My boss hit a deer just a few weeks ago (2015 Silverado 4 door 4x4). They didn't total it, air bags deployed. If fact the body guy claimed the interior damage/cost of repair was very close to exterior.

There is a lot more computation that goes into an Airbag deployment than just a frontal collision.

You cant sue Toyota for them not going off. They shouldn't have gone off in that crash. It was not directly in front. Its offset.

    Bone Stock.Why mess with perfection?Except...
That looks like it may have hurt when you hit. Seat belts did their job. Just curious, about how fast you were going at collision?
Edit: On second thought, don't post your speed on a public forum.

OP what kind of vehicle did you T-Bone? Your bumper didn't get it as bad as the rest of the front end. Looks like you went under it a little, probably why airbag sensors didn't go off. Same thing happened to me years ago when I hit a dear while driving a Dakota.

Back in 2001 I had someone pull out in front of me from a parking lot. I caught the rear drivers corner of their Ford Explorer with the left front corner of my 01 Taco. I wasn't going more than 25 or 30 mph since I had just pulled out of my office parking lot and my airbags didn't deploy either. I was fine but concerned. When I had it in the body shop I had Toyota send someone out to check this out. I have no idea if they did anything or just said they were, but they told me that everything was fine with the SRS stuff. I didn't push it. After the truck got fixed I got rid of it (it was PreRunner and I wanted a 4x4 anyway).

Was a early 2000s Chevy Venture Minivan. I hit him straight in the passenger sliding door. I saw one idiot go flying across the inside of the van, heh... (no belts probably).

I used to work as an auto claims adjuster. In order to be a total loss, the cost to repair the vehicle must exceed "x" % of the vehicles value. The percentage varies from state to state. For example, in NC, that figure is 75%.

That is why everyone should carry Uninsured and Underinsured coverage for their own protection.

I added coverage for uninsured drivers after i was hit by an illegal alien with no license and no legal status....luckily it buffed out. Not taking anymore chances though

but the shitty part is, If i get hit by someone without insurance, my rates go up and i get a point on my record. even if it was their fault. Right out of liberty mutual's mouth

Really is amazing how dumb people can be. Last summer a similar rocket scientist hit my GF's daughter on her bike. She was riding in near dark with friends and they all had blinky lights on. Hit her head on and she flew 20 feet in the air. He jumps out of his car and runs away on foot. Think he was trying to avoid the breathalizer, but it's a small town. Only took about 15 minutes for the cops to find him.

The kid was really lucky. She's had some nagging issues from the serious concussion, but no broken bones.

The sh!tstain may get away with almost no real punishment. Probably keep his license, some probation and community service. And he's a repeat offender (previous DUI). Since there were no broken bones, it wasn't a felony. Which I think is total bullsh!t, personally.

I think it's more of a Massachusetts law than it is an insurance policy. I'm with Liberty mutual is because I get the family discount as my mom used to work for them
