    Hi all -- I'm trying to help a neighbor figure out what kind of car this is. The photo was taken in 1916 or 1917, probably in West Virginia. Thanks in advance.

    There were so small car makers back in those times it can be hard to tell, but that looks like a Stutz bulldog.

    Yea, so many makes back then. Thanks for the possible ID. I looks like my mystery car has a more upright windscreen and a rounded top to the hood. I wonder, too, how often cars back then changed from one model year to the next?

    yes it's a 22a.... 1915

    the 1915 has correct front bumper

    Wow, you guys are right... that looks VERY close. Let me do some more googling on that -- especially the unique headlights and compartments above the running boards. And the radiator cap and grille. THANKS!
