I've never got into the whole College sports thing.

 

I didn't till this year, we went and watch the first two rounds in Spokane, now I'm hooked.

 

Gonzaga right?

That's literally the extent of my college hoops knowledge lol.

 

Gonzaga wasn't there, haha. They try to avoid having a home home teem. Watched 4 games friday and 2 sunday. Oregon and South Caralina were the winners. They played in the Hockey rink.

 

A couple of years ago I had to go to a conference in Idaho in this town of something like 40,000 people. They had a school there that had literally dropped to the bottom of the barrel for academic ratings and had teachers protesting that they weren't getting paid. By that I mean literally not paid at all.

However they did have a state of the art newly renovated facility for their basketball program . I'm kind of glad we don't place the same level of emphasis on college sports here.

I mean for the big schools it's probably really great having all of that publicity attracting students and the money that spins off from that... but for most schools it's probably just a giant money pit that could go to... oh I don't know... education?

Sorry if I sound negative. That's what stuck with me after that trip.

If Anaheim gets the Preds off the bat they will get by them no problem. I'd be more worried about the sharks.

 

I can change the names of the teams 16 times and rewrite the article.
That's just the same recycled article posted every season around this same time.
The same write posted "Why The Anaheim Ducks Will Win The Cup just 3 days earlier.

Andersen has a concussion. Anaheim has Gibson.
Perron is skating and should be back by the 2nd round.
Rakell had appendicitis. Not sure on a time frame but Getzlaf missed 4 games when he had it earlier this year.

There were 4 times in the last 1:45 of the second period that the game was stopped to break up scrums.

The announcers, going into the intermission, are all "Yup, this is gonna be an old-school third, we're gonna see some gloves down"

Holy cow, the lip reading on these players is funny as shit, right at the end there, "Don't you fucking touch me you fucking fag, I'll kill you. Don't you touch me! Don't you fucking touch me!" The refs are pullin' em apart, goin all "Don't do it, don't do it man!"

I'd prefer the Preds over the Sharks. If both of those teams play to their potential the Sharks are the better team with far more playoff experience.
