When I was looking at tires I looked at the general tires as well because I liked the tread pattern but I think I was a sucker for the bfg because of their new side walls. I still like the tread on those generals though. To me it seems like a better pattern than the bfgAT because it just looks like they'd clean out really well in muddy conditions better than the bfg.
But like I said i was a sucker and got the bfg because of the sidewall and also because of its good reviews of tread life.

I like both of those, but in the end I chose the Firestone Destination A/T. They work great off-road, are quiet on road, but I can spin the tires a little easier than I like on wet pavement. The stock bfg's did much better in that regard. The Firestones are good in snow, but not great. I think rubber is just to stiff for those kinds of things. Next time I buy tires I will going with the ko2's

I see so many people with the ko2's it's not even funny lol but hey its what bfg intended to do when they introduced that new sidewall. Whoever proposed the changed is a mighty lucky guy who im sure is a little wealthier now lol Because people like me not only buy tires because of good reviews or reliability but for looks too

No problems, just a little "lack of power" in certain situations. More noticeable with more weight in/attached to the truck.

The taller tire will alter your effective gear ratio, like putting in higher (lower numerically) gears. The engine will feel sluggish, and you will probably run in a lower gear (transmission) going up hills. Gas mileage might be a little lower.

New gears are not something you have to have right now, but I suggest putting on the mod list - you will not regret it.

They are 4.8" BS. You're gonna need spacers for anything wider than what you're running now. 285 width will probably be on the UCA a little without a spacer.

Yea on of the reasons I got them was because I got a good deal on 4 wheel parts and got em under 190 a tire, if it wasn't for that I'd have gotten something different
