Haha its already off for the most part, it was fun seeing everyone starring and even thought to let her take it to school tomorrow. But I wanted to throw some lube in the uniballs before it starts to get annoying, so the mud had to go.

So today I decided to take care of the rear bumper, because this was happening

The clearance is pretty close to begin with but having the bumper tilted up slightly did not help. It pushed in the sheet metal when closing . Also the side that just has a nut is a good inch away from the tailgate when the bumper is in the correct position, pretty crazy it moved that far.

I figured I would need the hi lift to raise the bumper while I tighten it so I took it off the bumper.
[IMG]DSC06174 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr
Some rash from hitting a rock somewhere, didn't look like it really effected the hi lift at all. But when removing it I found what it did effect

[IMG]DSC06179 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

Bolt was slightly bent when removing it, that kind of surprised me because its a very snug fit when its all buttoned up. So I took a look at the mount and sure enough I bent it up a little. Now that I think of it I'm not sure if it bent or caved the square tube it a little that its attached to :notsure:

[IMG]DSC06180 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

So I went ahead and loosed all the mount bolts to adjust the bumper. Soon as everything was loosened it fell right into the correct position, so no Hi lift needed

[IMG]DSC06176 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

So heres the bumper back where its supposed to be

[IMG]DSC06178 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

So finally I decided to check everything out and make sure nothing got destroyed or came loose. Nothing found but I noticed my bumps took a decent hit, moving the ring nearly to the bottom on passenger side and driver side had completely bumped

[IMG]DSC06175 by Chandler Coe, on Flickr

Also washed the truck after all that so I could re lube the uniballs, I noticed my passenger side clicked a little when pulling the tire back and forth. It looked and sounded as if the uniball has some play, but at the moment it wasn't lubed so I figured Ill let it lube up for a day or two before I check it again to make an assumption.

Its not a bad park and its really one of the few choices out here but I'm really not a huge fan of the park. Its small, costs the same as other parks that are larger, requires a stupid flag, infested with atvs/dirtbikes/sxs and tons of mud. The actual truck area is not very large and the trails that they offer are mostly mud holes and ruts.

If you come this way, flat nasty is rated one of the better parks in the midwest
hanging on for your life

I do need a flat link, that thimble keeps getting caught on the steep stuff.

Today I realized my topper shifted about an inch back from last weekend, so while she was shopping I put it back where its supposed to be and tightened down the clamps a little more than usual.

Hardware will be here friday so I can get started on my flares after breaking my passenger side one. Ill be re cutting my fenders and cutting the rears a little bit near the top.

Also ordered 100 skateboard bearings to finally build a rear storage system so I can ditch my storage bins and get a little more organized

Order custom made and specify thicker sidewall. I think ours are 0.81 wall thickness. When I candy cane and replace mine I'll ask for 1.81 - if the first number is correct - to help prevent it from happening again.
