Used to be, I am about 2 miles from DP now. There is no smell .. maybe if you're right off the highway I could understand. I love Deer Park / La Porte area.

    Facing out uploadfromtaptalk1459808618496.jpg

    Or facing inuploadfromtaptalk1459808655576.jpg

either way. 40 inch light bar on the bed rack isn't going to happen:(

Your paint appears to be rusting....

Facing out looks better, but not as useful for the bed. Facing in gives you better weight balance by pushing weight out further over the rear axle.

I feel safer with it facing out. It's centered on the brace. Also the tire us tall enough to lock everything in the bed with the rack on there

Just look at the build thread
Facing out makes the bed rack not look so short.

Facing out for sure. Facing in looks dumb. Wait is that a different rack since I saw you last? I thought it was taller and longer.

I know. But if you seen how skinny the bolts that hold this thing together. It's probably better to face it out. I don't feel like picking up this huge tire in the middle of the freeway lol

I highly doubt there's enough force to break any bolt.

Oh I'm sure something other than the bolt will give. That bed isn't that strong either.

Yup. I have a hole now, where a nut use to be welded on by factory. I slightly over tighten it. And the nut ripped a hole out of the sheet metal lol
