So I posted a while back the my passenger side rear tire was leaking diff fluid. I just pulled the diff breather and it was stuffed full of dirt and sand. I'm gonna relocate it this week. I've seen both mods that relocate it either behind the taillight or in to the gas cap area. Which one is the "best" place to do it?

I decided to put mine as high up as I could so it is pretty much behind the tail light underneath the bed rail

I was thinking there because I want to put a compressor back there for on board air.

I was also thinking this area because when I do on board air I was planning to have a regulator com out of the cubby

Yea if I had a short bed I would have routed it to the gas neck area. This was a good choice for me having the long bed. The cubbys are located in different locations depending on the bed. If you pull out the cubby on the short bed the gas neck is right there. On the long bed the cubby is further to the rear.

I did mine behind the taillight. Reason being was 1) I couldn't access the backside of my gas cap because I don't have the side cubbys and 2) It's more protected. When I did mine I had recently went wheeling and there was crap all on the underside and when I removed the taillight it was nice and clean back there. That tells me that it's nice and protected back there.

First wash since January lol. Two wheeling trips, lots of pollen, and lots of grinding dust since the last time, so the paint is in awesome shape
