Yeah right, my poor Quick lube guys had the week from hell trying to rotate tires with wheel locks :annoyed:......everyone trying to get "serviced" for the long ride back home and the "northern boys" must use 1" drive guns for the pre-winter trips :bananadead:

And Mike ,we both know having a lift and putting something in the air does not mean you can fix/repair them..:rofl::rofl:

There are some shifts I feel like a baseball player spitting chew for all the "tongue biting blood " in my mouth due to "know it all young'ns" trying my patience..........I guess I am a dinosaur ;)

Yea don't I know it. Dam wheel locks need to be banned. They come in with aftermarket locks and expect us to have the key. Then they don't have the key on the seat and we have to hunt for it. And they can't find it either. So 45 min later no rotate and no time for me.... Niceeeeeee

1" guns are standard for tightening lug nuts through perma rust.
Lifts only help them see the mistakes they made earlier in the week. :smack:

Tongue biting is a std response for the mo factor.
Maybe I'll come down and we can take the place over for a day and between the two of us show them how to run 3 lifts each at once...

Let me talk to your manager about hurt feelings. I'd make sure his feelings were hurt at the same time.
I have no use for this feel good society in our business. We have people's lives in our hands. You screw up around me hurt feeling are the least of your worries.

Ugh, 4 days out in the desert. Now I am old, tired AND I smell bad.

Great time with great people, banged the truck around, like you are supposed to do, and came home safe.
Now to weld up some broken parts...and take a shower.

Welcome to the new 50's and to let you know Mike, I have splined lugs and I expect you to have a socket for them. :D

A good friend (who's also on TW!) made up several sets of breather mod kits and handed them out at a recent meet. I got one of the "prototype" models a couple months earlier. It's a full fledged "breather", with hose, etc....It's run up behind the left rear taillight housing. If it gets into water, the motor is already submerged.....

Years ago, on a Jeep CJ7 I had at the time, I raised vents, waterproofed ignition, etc, until it would run in water that was literally running out heater ducts.

Somewhere along the way, I finally learned to DRIVE AROUND WATER THAT DEEP....:mudding::facepalm:

I finally got my grill back together. I have an FJ40 emblem in transit, but that will be more painting. So, it will probably be a while before its on, too.

Yeah I've seen that on the Live thread, I think. Last I saw he was finished painting the emblem, but I haven't seen it on the truck, yet. My buddy Jeff put one of the emblems on his Super White with a Grillcraft insert. No painting for him since they come white.

I just checked that out. Looks good. I will do my emblem like I did my grill surround. I did the prep and painting, but I took it to a guy that know with a backyard shop for the clearcoat. He didn't charge me anything to spray it while he was already loaded up on a job. From everything I've read and heard, unless you buy an expensive can of clearcoat that won't keep if you don't use it all, it will yellow in a short time.
