    It wasn't easy!

Seriously, I have had stress nightmares for a few weeks straight. Last night I dreamed I picked up my truck and it caught fire on the drive home.

I hope it runs strong for a good 150k - 200k but really, I just want it to survive a year until I graduate and land a full time job . Then it can be retired to a weekend warrior and Ill most likely pick up a used subie for a daily.

Greetings from Wyoming! Read all 77 pages. You have a beautiful dog! Your truck setup is sick! The intake issues are a bummer but I've always questioned cut/removed fender liners. The stock box is hardly adequate for as shallow stream crossing. I have a lot of experience rebuilding atv engines because of water damage so I feel the frustration. Preventative modifications help but you can't be too safe and you definitely have to pay to play. I think a real snorkel wouldn't be bad, I also despise the poser ness of the "expedition" trend. But your truck is capable and you wheel it so don't forgo a good modification in spite. Lastly if you ever want to get rid of your SO tee-pee and nobody else has called dibs, I would be interested. My homie has the 6 man and it's nice and roomy for 3 w/lots of wood and winter gear.

Welome! I have seen a lot of Wy guys popping up on TW lately. Where are you located in Wy?

I probably wont pass up the snorkel but we will see how things work out.

I was debating selling my 4 man for a 6 man but not anymore. I am broke haha. Maybe after the summer though

I'm in Jackson. I know a few peeps over in Laramie. Yeah the snorkel seems like the best solution to keep water/dirt out of the air box. I notice mine is dirty as hell after a summer with stock body. Even romping through a puddle could be death to an engine with the stock system. And forsure on the tee-pee, I'm in no hurry. I am sold on the tee-pee idea though. I think two people with no dogs would be more livable in the 4 man. Wish I had the coin for an 8 man and a big steel stove for car camping. I'll let you know if my buddy wants to trade up on his 6 man at some point.

I dropped the intake off, should have the truck back this weekend. I won't be around TW much. One of the most generous, motivated people I know passed on last night. She was the one person in Laramie that I could really call a friend. She was so young and achieving so much. She helped me so much in the 3 years that I have known her. So if I don't update till next week, that's why. This past year is officially the worst and best year of my life.

Thanks guys, it's been a hard few days but life does go on. To lighten the mood up, Baby T is home.

Engine is quieter than when I got it stock. Power feels better too. Time to break her in.

Hmm, help me out here guys. I have a small puddle of gear oil leaking from where the CV connects to the front diff. If this a simple buy new cv, swap in, and truck on fix? Guessing it's an axle seal of some sort? First issue with these guys but I have pulled them enough I am comfortable doing it real quick.

Can just get a new seal. Pull the old one and seat the new one, but dont drive it in too far! I'd drive it around for a bit, you may just have some residual from the motor work dripping. You dont need a whole new cv, unless that sealing surface is jacked up. I dont have a part number but ECGS will have it. There are two types for our trucks too, so watch out for that.
