It's a buddy of mine who works at a local dealership. He said it's the only one of its kind allocated from the west coast to Montana.

Damn unicorn. TRD OR Silver, 6MT, Tech Pkg, Tonneau.

When did you put in your order with your dealership?

Don't forget to have them check the blinker fluid and muffler bearings.

The end is nearing for me!

    DCSBOR in Quicksand -
    - Original build date was slated for: 3/23/16
    - Actual build date was: 3/22/16

    - Original Estimated delivery dates range was: 4/9/16 - 4/13/16
    - Updated delivery date range is: 4/6/16 - 4/11/16

Could be here as early as tomorrow, or as late as 6 days from now! Then I get to sell it to myself (I work for a dealership with a Toyota store) and off I go!

Edit: (I'm in Upstate NY, by the way)

Oh yeah. The more fluid the faster the blink right?

Ordered just before Christmas. My DCLB is at the dealer and I meet them in the morning to seal the deal. Hope I can negotiate no more than $36k before fees. It has P&T non JBL, All weather & sills, predator steps and tonneau. I have the price list from the pricing thread in hand and will be working on my list of questions tonight.

My wait is officially over. One of the dealers I was initially working with over a month ago ordered the truck I was looking for and called me yesterday to tell me that it came in. Sort of odd that we only communicated through email a couple of times and he ordered it without telling me and with no deposit. Ended up being cheaper than the one I ordered from the other dealer - $100 under invoice. I was able to back out of that order since a delivery date was never established. Pretty stoked to have my new truck much sooner than expected. Also odd that one dealer could order it and get it here within 4-5 weeks while the other couldn't get it for a couple of months.

And by the way, no gas pedal/steering wheel vibe and plenty of hood glue so no immediate issues there - I guess time will tell. Built in San Antonio. Had the dealer check the tranny fluid level and they said it was fine. I'm going to double check to be sure though. So far so good. Time to install the light bar in the grill and Sasquatch light switch!

I guess if you're having one built, 4-6 weeks is the norm and my experience when ordering Toyotas. What is interesting is that the 16 Tacomas have been out for just a bit over 6 months now and one local dealer has 22 on the lot! Another one has 13 and another 10. These dealerships are a 20 minute drive from each other.

Not the case near me. The closest dealer currently has 2 on the lot and has never had more than 4 at any one time.

Several weeks back I went to my local Toyota dealer and they were knuckleheads who told me they don't special order trucks. So after asking them WTF?? I left. Googled ordering a Tacoma and found somewhere on this site people suggesting those who want to order a Tacoma call Dean at Toyota West in Columbus OH.(sorry I don't remember who suggested this but thank you :) Mind you I live in South Florida, but was pissed and not wanting to deal with paying for $300 floor mats I don't want or ToyoGuard for $700. So I figured what the hell. Called and left a short message explaining my situation and within the hour on his day off he called me back. Said he'd get me information in the morning when he worked again and it has been the best car buying experience sense. Yesterday he text me informing me my 2016 super white/graphite TRD OR 4x4 SB has been built and gave me the vin. Truck will be ready for pickup between 4-13 & 4-18, SWEET!!! I can't suggest enough if you are disappointed with your local dealer and feel like a two day motorcycle ride (or a flight if you're a girl) to get your new truck is a good time call Dean at Toyota West.

That seems to be the case for most. Although if you get a long bed or manual you're going to wait considerably longer.

Thanks! I put my order in March 23 and I haven't heard anything from my sales contact here. I'm hoping mine is a few weeks behind yours since I'm doing a 7545 Tacoma in Quicksand.

It sounds like the current lead times for 6MT/Manual trucks are about 10 weeks from order to delivery based off of what I'm reading in this thread.
