Anyone know a way of loosening these Victorinox knives? The bottle opener is pretty much impossible to open up with my finger nail.

I have a lot of Victorinox and Wenger knives and they are typically hard to open. I don't think that there is much you can do about it. I have tried different types of lubricants on some that are hard to open, and it did not help much. It is the spring that is hard, not because of friction.
Also, typically, two blades or functions will share the same spring, so in you picture for instance, if the can opener on the left is open, it will put pressure on the spring, making the bottle opener even harder to open.

ah that makes sense lol. I'll have to try it again. Wish I could make it feel a little smoother though haha.

Just a bunch of cheap stuff, I lose knives faster than I dull them.
I got to tour quite a few of the victorinox/wenger shops in Switzerland when I was there and I really like their knives.

I have two pelican cases with nalpak inserts. But the knives I usually carry sit in a basket along with my keys and stuff.

If you do keep knives in a pelican, make sure you keep some desiccant in there to absorb any moisture that gets trapped in the case.

Haha! Well, there were few knives in there that was worth over a grand, but sadly I sold most of them. Trying to fund a SAS build  I still have a bunch of stuff in there that I don't want to sell...

These 2 Benchmades rotate as my every day pocket knife. I have carried a few others in the past (Old timer, CRKT, Kershaw) but over the past 6 years or so these 2 have been my faves and amazingly I haven't lost them. Well... I misplaced the Griptilian for a few months at one point which is why I started carrying the 3550. Lol

Hey. I'm carrying the soldier version of your pioneer!

Mines stiff to open too. But I can get it.

You were completely right lol. It's still tough but completely doable with the other accessories closed.
