Yes, have the same pulsating sensation when holding steady in that RPM range.

So i was so discouraged and lost hope that Toyota would put out a fix for the Tacos that I started looking elsewhere for a new truck and the only real alternative would be a full size truck and I though those chevy trucks are good looking trucks. Started doing research and what do you know they also have a vibration issue (http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/153186-shake-or-vibration-issues/page-515) that's a link to a 500 some odd page long ongoing thread.

Upon reading on the GM truck vibe I found some interesting info that may be usefull or not for Tacos. 1 was that having the rear ends replaced (rear axle assembly) solved the issue for some, while others retorqued the axle U-bolts and cab mounts which seemed to also help. Others had put clamps on the drive shaft which also helped. GM has admitted that there is a vibration issue and has put out tsb's and has even been forced to do even MSRP trades or buy backs through BBB's arbitration. Here a link for a tech article on the vibes http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/GM_TechLink_05_March_2015.pdf

So I looked to ford and damn the new F-150's also seem to have a speed or RPM under load vibration, here is a link to that thread (http://www.f150forum.com/f118/2015-f150-fx4-vibration-help-297498/index2/) so I ask, are all of us who are in the market for a new pick up truck SOL, does any auto maker make a decent truck that doesn't vibrate?

I believe a large part of the complaints are likely due to the fact that pickups are so damn smooth and quiet today as compared to 10-20-30 + years ago that people are noticing things that, frankly, always were there but were masked by the typical NVH of yesteryear. That is not to say that there isn't merit in some of the complaints but merely saying that a goodly portion are from people who expect trucks to drive like cars and are upset because they don't.

    NO. This is flat-out bull.

I have driven plenty of old vehicles, tractors and work trucks that were not smooth, but did not feel like you were holding on to a saw.

This is not normal. I have also considered other trucks and found these threads. The F150 is problematic, since it seems to appear after 2-4 k miles for some. That would suck. My issue was there (very faint to what I could ignore) on day 2. But it has gotten progressively worse.

Opps. I better go read the 'what you did to your truck today' thread a few times to realize that my issues are imagined or I am overly sensitive looking for problems. :der:

Gotta disagree with you. I've owned various(new) trucks of all variations & options for 30 years
and never had issues like these and by that I mean so many issues left unaddressed & ignored by both
dealer and manufacturer. Way too many "that's normal" replies from the dealers. If it were in
fact "normal" they wouldn't have so many people complaining and spending their time going
from dealer to dealer searching for resolution.

Pulsing vibration in 2WD that goes away in 4WD... This sounds to me like the front diff needle bearing issue. Toyota has a TSB for 2nd gens for this issue and several people on here with 3rd gens have mentioned having the issue, as well. Take the problem to your dealer and they will most likely cover it under the TSB. The solution is to replace the needle bearing with a redesigned one that fixes the problem. There is also an aftermarket fix from ECGS that replaces the needle bearing with a bushing, but since you are still under warranty (presumably), I'd just take it to the dealer.

I'm trying to figure out what to do right now with this issue, put a new set of fox susp on, only got 1" lift in front and now have this issue...Dealership said nothing is covered under warranty because I lifted it...Now I'm wondering if I should adjust the suspension so no lift and bring it to another dealer so they cant blame the lift, bring it to another dealer and hope they don't straight up blame the lift, or just get my mechanic to install the ECGS one...thoughts?

Find a new dealer. The lift is not the problem and an honest dealer would not blame the lift for this issue. It is known by Toyota and they have issued a TSB to fix it. Also, if you remove the lift, the vibration will likely go away if it wasn't there before you put the lift on. Seriously, take it to another dealer just as it is and tell them you want it fixed per the TSB.

Problem is they said they don't care about the tsb because it's for 05-15s and I have a 16

that was my thinking. I doubt any shop is going to apply a TSB from
a previous years model just because the issue is "similar".

Again, find another dealer. Yes, the TSB is for 2nd gens, but there are members on this very forum who have been successful getting their dealers to fix their 2016s under the TSB because it's the same issue. Take a copy of the TSB with you and say... "yes, I understand this TSB does not specifically cover 2016 models, but my truck is suffering from this exact issue."

That doesn't appear to be the same issue many are experiencing.

Didn't say it was. A few posts up a member described his issue, which sounded to me like the "driver's side front diff needle bearing issue" and not the "buzzy vibration at certain RPMs" issue that this thread is all about. I merely pointed that out and offered a way to have it corrected.
