Seth, that sucks. Older trucks like that are hard to find parts for. I can get you a new tail light for $35 for the value line or $46 for the regular. Bedsides are not available but wheel arc's and tailgates are. Let me know if you need any help

Similar frustration here. Once again got declined for a spot in a development program..6th time in the past few yrs.

my 2015 review was arguably the best in my unit, and I'd like to improve my networking plus see what my next step up will be. Can't seem to get interviews without having these programs on my resume though.

The recent "go shit in your hat" was a program that they say is chosen randomly. Had a meeting with the organizer yesterday and while candid she did state they do give first shot to certain (read: asskissers) people.

I worked in that I've invested in the company, such as 18mos of doing work apay grade or 2above mine (which also meant icouldnt post forthis) but yet when will the company invest in me as I have asked.

I explained my part time job has 120 direct reports and my duties include scheduling, financial, day to day ops in general, PR I said nothing more than it is a non-profit

My hope was maybe they'd offer to work one on one (as they have for others) or something else like "maybe try this or talk to this one". Nope. Just "well maybe next time"..yeah like the next time I've heard for 8 years.

The old boss got fired for some...questionable internet activities involving backpage and company time/computers. Then this guy that replaced him was the oldest person in the office, so I think that's what they used as a deciding factor. I've got management experience, but they never even offered a position to me. He's been here a year longer than me but doesn't have any management experience at all, and it shows.

Younger, by about 7 years. But he's also a spineless wimp who's scared shitless of women. His wife has his dick in a jar under her kitchen sink, and the three girls already in the office pretty much tell him what to do instead of vice versa. And now the new one seems to have picked up on that. He's got no problem telling off one of the guys if we screw something up, but he absolutely will not say anything to the girls if they shank an order or something.

Thanks all I'm pretty pissed though at least the one girl had the courtesy to call the police.

If I had to bet I think insurance will total it. The bed is toast. Not sure what I'll do honestly. Truck has sentimental value as it was my uncle's who passed away that I was very close with. And the truck is mint, no rust and paint in perfect condition, interior like new. Only 118,000 miles on it too and runs like a top.

if they do total it. You could always buy it back and fix it when you have time.

Ya that may be the route to go. Hopefully the frame is fine, looks to be just the bed and rear bumper. Certainly don't want to get rid of it. My parents use it quite a bit for dump runs, getting stuff from home despot, etc...

Ya, unless I could find a decent one around here which I doubt. Maybe flatbed it. It was nice having the cap though.

Long bed right? If so, Northtown Auto Parts in OH shows a nice one for $500. The description is "NICE CLEAN.NO RUST. BLACK 000 A 0" Black color 000 is the damage type A is the condiotion 0 is the time to fix, so in other words it's in perfect condition. Their phone number is 800-430-6610

    GRRRRRR Never lend people tools.

Got my Porter cable DA back from my friend, her hubby used it to clean her car before she had to turn it in (lease).

Open the box and the handle and stock plate and spanner are all missing. Fuck people.

He's soon to be her ex hubby thankfully and while I'd like to not replace the parts myself I know she has other issues now like where to live. Lesson learned..

Yep... I very, very rarely loan tools to anyone. If I do, I either know them very well and have complete faith that they'll return it, or I'm coming along and will donate my time with the tools (and they're coming back with me when I leave). The only other way I loan tools is if it's something I'm completely ok with never seeing again.

As someone who is nearly always on the receiving end of borrowing tools/ or expertise. Don't stop lending them!! Just be more selective. My whole truck is built on the goodwill of friends. Granted I always return the favor with labor and what I can help with and I have never not replaced something I destroyed.
