Well, Before the flaming starts on a 8/0 wire as the measurement technically doesn't exist. So some people have said the following ......

"Now wait a minute, there is no such thing as 8/0 AWG, you just pulled this out your @ss!"


- Yes it is true, there is no such thing as 8/0 AWG on the AWG chart. The correct reference to be used for this cable is 183.5mm2 OR aroun 370MCM.

But here’s the problem: People using the Imperial measuring system will be confused over the mm2 measurement and MCM measurement is rarely used in car audio. So we just adopted the 8 /0 awg measurement to make things easier, but we still use the 183.5mm2 for our overseas markets who use metric measurements.


This cable has a conservative rating of 1000A over 20 ft, and is still pretty flexible. Now the thing is this cable is not here for mainstream regular people but that 1% that needs a cable that can handle the capacity required instead of traditionally running a TON of runs of cable.

Anyway, you may ask why is this posted here. Just something that i wanted to show off and illustrate what we have been up to and pushing hard to deliver nothing but the best.

You would need one hell of an electrical system to burn that wire. I think your alternator would fizzle out and the lead battery posts would melt away long before the wire even got hot.

 

i know of some big builds that pull 3000A-5000A+
One of our associated Shocker Hal does 183.x db drag sealed in extreme and he's running a ton of power. When he burps you can literally see the wires move from the current. HE liquifies a watermelon when he burps inside the cabin

 

That's some beautiful wood and some beefy ports, I like it. I'll send him a picture. I'm coming back home this summer and we should be getting a move on around that time

I'm an electrician. Usually we use one of these to crimp lugs on the bigger gauge wires.
