Yea. I'm okay at welding and I'm fine at smaller projects, but when it comes down to something like my front and rear bumpers, my dad is a much better welder them myself. One day I'll be able to stack dimes like FC187 on Pirate4x4  His work is flawless and half the time I don't know how he does it. Especially since he does it all by hand.

Ha! You need a set of sliders before you think of making a bumper :p If you want to buy me a set of Relentless ones, I'll ship you my Demello sliders ;)

I got the welder and ran out of the .25 sample wire in about 10 mins... Need to buy some .30 then practice until i feel like i could do it. Dosent seem like fun because a lot of the spots are tight.

Welding them on the frame is way more difficult if your mounting plates are square. SOS designs them as triangles and it is wayyyyy easier. They also wrap around the bottom of the frame. By far the best mounting plate design I've seen.

Yea, I'll agree with that. The square/rectangular plate is really annoying to weld at the top, but that's about it. My Demello sliders are bolt on so I had the awkward time of drilling the final bolt hole. Then again, I ain't mad. I got these from Jason for pretty much nothing.

I like BAMFs mounting plates, but also a bitch to weld on.

if you use a method like me and my dad used, cutting slots and bending then filling in slots with welds, its easy, do that for the main portion.

This picture has the extra leaf in it. I took it out because it gave me to much lift.

Apparently OME updated the AAL. Instead of adding 100lbs of carrying capacity, it's now up to ~225lbs. I'm tempted to get it. IFS skid plate is still more appealing though.
