Nice! That reminds me of stuff I hear places like Google offer there employees as "incentives ". Heard they have like a game room with Playstation's n such. And also a place to take a nap if they are too tired!
...I was thinking, like really? Stuff like that exists in the work place?

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
IT really is a strange place to the modern non-IT employee, especially a software company like Google. They value creativity more than hours. Good work > More work is kind of the policy or method. A lot of IT companies like that are actually experimenting with unlimited time off as well! They realize that happy employees are creative and work harder at a place that values them rather than clocking in 8-5 and having to answer for calling in sick, etc.

It's also highly competitive both from a company and employee perspective. Companies need to hold onto quality people or some other company may offer something nicer to lure them away.

I'm keeping the idea open to that later down the road in a few years maybe. I want to try to understand the design better first so if I do make a 4 link the truck is going to handle like a dream. Plus keeping the stock gas tank is a huge priority to me right now. I might turn it into a 3 link with a pan hard. The thing is the truck handles amazing with leafs right now.

On the topic of careers I'm a mechanical engineer doing design and prototype testing of optical communication. Been doing this for about 4 years. Passively looking to switch to a larger company in the future just to make a change. Plus larger companies have more expensive toys to play with.

An interesting read about linked suspensions....

Why is keeping your stock gas tank a big deal?

Can you be street legal in California with a relocated fuel tank?

Oh yeah good stuff in there to get you started. I'm looking for more technical information like roll center, anti squat, and physical geometry design limitations. What to see how all that goes together and make a really stable great handling small truck. Nothing more fun than seeing a little garage fab truck just rip it out in the dirt. I've been reading Carroll Smith tune to win book. It's for street cars but you can take bits of info and apply it to dirt. It seems like the dirt industry is a bit of a secret in suspension design.

Emissions even though it doesn't seem like my truck cares about it.

I saw one guy move his tank to his bed and said he passed smog. It seems like a gray area to me. 3 link could work for me though.

I don't really have a clue how to fix it, clean it up, remove rust and weld a plate of steel there to fish the bolt back through...? Its connecting my crash beam to the weird thin mount in front of my radiator. Im not entirely sure what purpose it's serving

Your guess is a good as mine with that one haha. I've never seen that before. The material looks pretty light guage so any welding on it wouldn't be too hard
