Random question for the hive-mind- does anyone else have a loose e-brake handle? Every time I hit a bump, the handle moves a little and the brake light comes on. I've dealt with the annoyance for 2 years now and it's really getting old...

EDIT: i should add that I adjusted the cable to proper tension a few months ago, and no change.

Nah man, Trico, literally invented the things. Plus their double bladed mud wipers kick ass and last forever.

    Wat? Lol

I don't buy any of those wipers that don't have a full skeleton, they flap around in the wind on the highway and never actually wipe the windshield.

I was going to try those, but I want to try a trifecta of Rain-X stuff. I already use their washer fluid. Now I have their Latitude blades, which are supposed to have water repelling properties of their own. Next is to use original Rain-X on the windshield. I wanna see just how well I can "outsmart the elements".

Trico? I've seen the name, but never heard anything about them. But there was a clearance cart at Walmart with a bunch of wiper blades in them for $5. They started with a T, and Trico sounds familiar. Are you saying I should go buy them all and hoard them so I never have to buy blades again?

Return spring under the floor might not be fully returning.
I just added a linear coil spring to mine, underneath, and it did the trick.

Haven't had a bad Trico wiper yet. Right now I'm just using some of their basic OE replacement ones. They clear well, form to the windshield and tend not to freeze to the windshield easily. I've had the HD ones as well and they are beastly for dirt and snow. Might as well pick them up if they are on sale. I change my windshield wipers about once a season so I tend not to buy super expensive ones unless I plan to take a long trip or something.

I've had Michelin and Goodyear mono blade wipers, Bosch icon monoblades and a single AutoZone house brand one and they all flapped around so I gave up on that style as they are usually more expensive than the classic style ones.

If they're still maybe tomorrow, I'll pick some up if they've got my size. May as well, for the price. I was tempted earlier. I change my blades when they start showing any of the signs of bad ones, but not before. I make a point to NOT be that guy who goes until the rubber strip is half off.

Original rain-x on the windshield is the bomb. In medium/light rain at speed you can run without wipers...
Just remember the instructions. Put on 1 coat, wait, put on a second coat.
Then buff hard with a dry paper towel or a mildly damp one.

Never tried the stuff but heard good things, might have to give it a go on my back window and side mirrors if it's that good.

I buy whatever the absolute cheapest wipers are because we get rain a handfull of times a year and the sun cooks the wipers in a couple months and they fall apart. No point is spending $ on good ones here!

Never used it, but I've heard a lot of good. Hell, even their washer fluid makes a small, but noticeable difference. Mostly at higher speeds.
I will. If there's one thing I am good at, it's following instructions. It's just the doing part that is a gamble...

I'm thinking about doing it on the mirrors. Haven't heard an argument against it. Side windows, I hear some problems where the coating causes issues between the glass and the rubber when putting them down, so I won't bother. Didn't think of rear window, since it's not much of an issue for me since I have an ever-growing selection of stickers there.
