As I wait here at the Toyota dealership having my transmission fluid level checked and 30 day inspection completed. I Wandered the lot silently judging all the Rav4 types of people. Thinking how far more superior I am with my 4x4 TRD OR and all of its testicular fortitude... Then the service manager tracks me down and says hey man we need to talk.... Me: WTF!?
He proceeds to tell me the service guys don't even know where to begin with all the problems... They said it's popping all kinds of codes from 'P' to 'lol' and 'gfy' codes. I'm writing this in order to maintain my sanity all while thinking about my first $600 payment having just cleared my account. Life is funny. I'll keep updates going

My favorite, "you can't believe everything you read on the internet." Right, and car dealerships are known for their knowledge and honesty.

Have you done any wiring mods like the yellow wire mod, for example?

Good luck. Tell the bozo that the codes are his problem - not yours. "go fix your fuck-ups and get me my new truck back"

I have not touched any of that. I'm keeping the warranty intact as long as I possibly can for situations exactly like this and until we find the dependability of the 3rd gens. I'll give them credit, they are working the shit out of it. The service center has come to a virtual stand still... I just don't want to have to lemon law a brand new taco

Neither are most people sitting across the desk from the car salesman. (At least that is what one salesman told me)

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.

I taught my salesman everything there is to know about Tacoma's because he didn't know anything besides "they are hard to get" bro, for real?

4runner - that way your truck won't feel small and weak when you get it back.

How do you like the 2016 compared to the 2014 Prerunner?

Well 4wd is a huge difference, but the main difference is that the '16 drives like a truck more so than the '14. In that it doesn't seem to have the same 'nimble-ness'. But 4wd makes it the winner all day

"vibrations only come from tires" regarding take off shutter when my truck was stock. I guess he didn't read any of the vibration TSB's.
