I've got a 2.7L with six speed auto. Had it checked and was 3 quarts low. It only holds 9.1 quarts. Should I be concerned with 700 miles? It only shifted rough in 4th gear when cold in the morning, then was fine on the second cycle of gears.

Gearcruncher has bee so helpful, why don't you find that number yourself? If you're old enough to drive, I trust that you can find the phone number. He's not your secretary.

I'm probably old enough to be your dad. Just thought since he's leading this campaign that he would have it handy.

    ATTENTION: MIKE SWEERS!!!!

MAYBE YOU COULD CALL SOMEONE AT THE ASSEMBLY PLANT(s) AND TELL THEM TO FILL THE TRANSMISSIONS TO YOUR SPECS!!!!!

I don't know why this is my responsibility, when I'm buying a truck professionally assembled by Toyoda International.

This isn't "build it at home", kit for weekend warriors is it???

You have been building this truck for 6+ months... ( known issue )

Does anyone at Toyoda even give a F&CK about build quality???

I'm paying close to $40,000.00 for my truck, could you fill the tranny to spec???

    Thanks a bunch!!!

Look forward to hearing from you, buddy...

Going back to the dealership again. After the dealership added 3 quarts of WS fluid to the auto transmission, 4th gear is still hitting rough only when it's cold first thing in the morning. Damn it man!

It will delay the upshift to 4th when cold . Shouldnt shift into 4th until the trans warms up .

Well, after checking my own fluid 2 days ago and getting no trickle, the dealership had it all day and says the trans was full. ? Suuure.
I've literally got a video of me checking it and getting a few drops, then nothing. He must have used his "good" meter. "Yup, looks good!"
    Time for a new dealer?

They did manage to get me a 2015 4Runner to drive in the meantime. Apples and oranges, I know, but it's like butter compared to my '16 Taco shifting.

    2 problems with that.
1st. I bought a complete truck. It wasn't a "build your own truck" kit where I go buy the parts I want and bust my knuckles putting it together. I bought a whole truck. I want a whole GD truck.
2nd. I just moved and all my tools are in a storage container somewhere under control of I'm sure, some port authority by now. So that's out.

I know you're trying to be helpful. And thank you. But I believe my $34k price tag included appropriate fluid levels and lubricants.

Edit: I'm confident he checked it with a scan tool. We shall see. I painted all my check and fill points with a sharpie paint pen. Real brittle and light. Damages easy.
He also claimed to have added 0.2oz of oil to my front/rear/Xfer case. You read that right. 0.2oz. Who can measure that?

What can I do to make sure this actually gets checked when I take it by the dealership? Is there a plug I can mark? Is it on the transmission itself or a separate pan?

Just want to make sure it doesn't get pulled around and ignored for an hour just so they can say they looked.
